I know I am months late regarding writing a post regarding this news, but my friend Ken Squier’s family (including his daughter Ashley) had sold his Radio Stations WDEV-AM-FM, WCVT-FM, WLVB-FM, and a few Relay Transmitters with the call letters W243AT, W252CU, and W273AM; to a Real Estate Investment Group run by two one time Vermont State Republican candidates this past January.

I, personally; am not happy with the news, and I wish that Ken Squier’s daughters (including Ashley) would have retained ownership of the Radio Stations, and that Ashley would have the intent of handing down ownership of the Radio Stations to her children later on down the road.

Bill France Sr. had personally selected Ken Squier to found the Motor Racing Network (MRN), the Radio Network that was founded at the time when the Big Four Radio Networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, and Mutual); and the Big Three Television Networks (CBS, ABC, and NBC) did not want to air Radio or Television coverage of NASCAR Races.

At one time, WDEV-AM was the Anchor Station for the Motor Racing Network (MRN).
