The former WXYZ-AM transmitter site south of the property in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, Michigan where Broadcast House resides; which ABC had purchased in 1957 as farmland with a farmhouse that has already been constructed on the property; and built a huge addition to the farmhouse to serve as the studios of WXYZ-AM-TV. WXYZ-FM (later WRIF) would be housed in a bevy of Trailers and Farmhouses on the property, before a separate and dedicated Studio building for WRIF would be built adjacent to the WXYZ Broadcast House would be built in the late 1970’s on a portion of the property where a Golf Course for ABC and WXYZ Radio and Television Employees to use; once stood.
