Following Up From The Earlier Post For As Much As I Dislike Hard Rock And Heavy Metal Music, I Must Report That A Disc Jockey At The FM Radio Station In Philadelphia That Has Gone On The Air As An Experimental FM Radio Station With The Call Letters W47PH In April, 1942; Was Later Reassigned By The FCC To Transmit It’s Signal At 44.9 Megacycles In March, 1943; And Was Also Assigned The W49PH Call Letters In The Process, Was Assigned The WIP-FM Call Letters In November, 1943; Was Sold Alongside It’s AM Parent WIP-AM To Metromedia In May, 1961; Metromedia Had Felt Compelled To Install A Progressive Rock Format At This Station, In Addition To WHK-FM In Cleveland, KLAC-FM In Los Angeles, And WNEW-FM In New York City; And Metromedia Would Change The Call Letters Of This Station To WMMR-FM In 1966, By The Name Of Pierre Robert; Has Recently Passed Away (As Of The Time Of Writing This Post); I Would Also Prefer If Metromedia, Incorporated Had Retained The Hybrid Adult Contemporary-Big Band And The Drake-Chenault Automated “Hit Parade” Formats Of WHK-FM/WMMS-FM, The Automated Middle Of The Road Format Of WNEW-FM, The Classical Music Format Of KSAN-FM, And The Hybrid Middle Of The Road-Big Band And Smooth Jazz Formats Of KLAC-FM/KMET-FM/KTWV-FM.

I, personally would prefer if Metromedia had instead retained the Full-Service Middle Of The Road format of WIP-FM/WMMR-FM; instead of installing the Progressive Rock format in 1968.
I do understand that while retaining the Full-Service Middle Of The Road format, for the time being, as of 1966; that Metromedia had changed the call letters of WIP-FM to WMMR-FM to install call letters that stand for “Metromedia-Radio”.

I Am Deeply Saddened Over The Recent Passing (As Of The Time Of This Post) Of CTV Journalist Beverly Thomson.
I, personally think that Beverly Thomson would have benefitted from working, at one point in time in her career; at CTV affiliate CFCF-TV in Montreal; at CFCF-AM, and at it’s FM stepchild; CFQR-FM, both of which are related to CFCF-TV in Montreal.
