  • Our House In “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”

    October 11th, 2015

We and my paternal grandmother would have most likely jointly purchased a house that’s already built and standing somewhere in Rochester City, Michigan ((not Rochester Hills, Michigan (formerly Avon Township, Michigan prior to 1984), but what Detroiters refer to as “Northern Rochester”)); and Oakland Township, Michigan.

If we built our own house, we would have purchased an empty lot somewhere in Rochester City, Michigan or in Oakland Township, Michigan that would range anywhere from 3-15 acres, as previously mentioned; it would be a priority of ours to live on an amount of property where you would need a Farm Tractor or a Bobcat with a mower and a snowblower attachment to cut the grass and handle the snow removal.

If architects had drawn up these plans in the early 1990’s, these would be our 10 choices for the house plan we’d choose. We also would have likely had a private architect that we would have hired draw up a plan similar to any one of these. The house would have to be in the range of 3,500-5,500 square feet, have a minimum of 4 bedrooms (5 bedrooms would be acceptable), a minimum of 3 bathrooms (4-5 bathrooms would be acceptable), and would have to have a 3-5 car garage. We’d also build a pole barn somewhere on our property.

This would be our first choice, as we also prefer to have a wraparound porch:

This plan would be our second choice, as this plan; too, also has a wraparound porch:

This plan would be our third choice, as it also has a wraparound porch:

This plan would be our forth choice:

This plan would be our fifth choice:

This plan would be our sixth choice, if we had to have a 2-story home with a wraparound porch:

This plan would be our seventh choice:

This plan would be our eighth choice:

This plan would be our ninth choice:

If we had to have a French style home, this is the plan we’d pick:
