  • One Easter Day in Early Life And Continuous Livelihood

    October 18th, 2015

We and my paternal grandmother drive in the diesel Suburban to Chris & Jim’s house one Easter Day, and Jim’s family from Virginia are over. The conditions are that it’s cloudy and in the high 60’s outside. Chris has an Easter Egg hunt in her backyard, and I do not participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. My sister participates in the Easter Egg hunt. My father tells me not to worry; he is not much of a social person either with regards to me feeling uncomfortable over all of these (stranger) people around. Jim and Moe are watching a golf event televised by CBS Sports on WJBK-TV. As we’re leaving in the diesel Suburban, my mother makes a comment that Carletta’s voice sounding just like her mother Bernice’s.

The moral of the story is that unlike my father’s sister neither my parents nor I are what are referred to as socialites and social butterflies, that I am not fond of strangers, the ways of Jim’s family are barbaric; and to a lesser extent, neither Darlene’s vehicle that she traveled with her family to the Detroit area in, nor is Moe & Carletta’s vehicle that they traveled with their 2 daughters to the Detroit area in are our cup of tea.

In the case of Darlene & Carletta, my parents would continue their mum,not contacting just anyone they desire because it’s not appropriate, and it’s “their family and not ours” approach towards them.

The overcast sky looks similar to the picture below, with the temperature being in the high 60’s:

  • Our Living Room In Early Life And Continuous Livelihood

    October 17th, 2015

Our living room in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood” looks similar to the living room pictured below, with 1980’s furniture and décor, a raised ceiling; and

Our living room looks similar to this with the 1980’s décor and furniture, the raised ceiling, the windows located just below the ceiling to increase the amount of natural light in the room; and the only exception is the “OXXO” sliding glass door. This living room is the epicenter of many of our conversations with Joe, Martha, and their family when they come over to visit during Easter and Thanksgiving; when Marie “Mimi”, Mary Ann and their family come over to visit us during Christmas; when Shannon & Ray bring over a few associates of theirs-famed children’s entertainer Shari Lewis, her only child-a daughter; and her sister-in-law, famed novelist Judith Krantz. It’s also the epicenter of our conversations with a few more associates of Shannon & Ray’s that they bring over-well known children’s book author and business entrepreneur Marc Brown-creator of the Arthur books, television show and merchandise, his 3 sisters; and his wife.

Our living room also has some design elements of this living room pictured below with regards to the décor:

Two 350 V8 gasoline-powered Suburbans with the blue interior (the alternate interior color that we would get on our 1994-1995 diesel-powered Suburban in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”) at a used car lot in Chelsea, Michigan (located outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan and near Jackson, Michigan):

  • 2016 Chevy Silverado HD Offers Digital Steering Assist

    October 16th, 2015

In future posts, I will be talking about having a heavier-duty pickup truck and a Fifth-Wheel trailer, and what it’s like to have both the truck and the Fifth-Wheel trailer.

This news release from General Motors talks about what the Fifth-Wheel/Gooseneck provision package is, what features and equipment the package contains; and the importance of having it if you’re going to use the truck to pull a Fifth-Wheel or a Gooseneck trailer.

This is something that will happen in the future and in reality, and is unrelated to the book “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”.

Chevrolet Silverado HD trucks are engineered to make the toughest jobs easier, and new technologies for 2016 complement features such as integrated cruise control, powertrain grade braking and diesel exhaust braking to enhance control.

  • Watching NASCAR Races Televised By CBS Sports On WJBK-TV In “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”

    October 15th, 2015

As things forevermore remain the same as they did during the 1980’s and the early 1990’s in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”, and as NASCAR forevermore remains the same as it did from the 1970’s-1990’s; we watch NASCAR races televised by CBS Sports and orchestrated by Neal Pilson on WJBK-TV.

Vermont native Ken Squier continues to call the races televised by CBS to this day, and is the case in these videos of various races that were televised by CBS from 1985-1986.

These videos are examples of how NASCAR forevermore remains the same as it was during the time of these videos, and how CBS itself remains the same was it was during this time. These videos are also an example of what it was like in reality and what it is like in the book to watch races televised by CBS.

  • Aunt Gene’s U.S Spec T72 Nissan Auster/Stanza/European Bluebird 5-Door Liftback Model

    October 11th, 2015

As I have mentioned my paternal grandmother (known to the cousins as Aunt Gene) having owned her U.S spec U.S Spec T72 Nissan Auster/Stanza/European Bluebird 5-Door Liftback Model that she replaces with a 2-door XJ Cherokee in an earlier post https://mparij.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/my-book-titled-early-life-and-continuous-livelihood/ here are commercials from Japan, Europe, and the United States for the T12/T72 Nissan Auster/Stanza/European Bluebird:

A video from Nissan celebrating 25 years of manufacturing in the UK for the entire European market, and the T12/T72 European Bluebird being one of the very first products it had manufactured:

The Auster/Stanza/European Bluebird, like the real U11 Bluebird and many other Nissan products, was powered by the CA engine; one of Nissan’s best engines just like the L 4-cylinder and the Z engines that have preceded it and the SR engine that had succeeded it. It matters as to how much Nissan had spent on testing and development on the CA before it had gone into production in 1982, and the SR before it had gone into production years later in 1989. It also matters as to how much time and money Nissan had spent on developing the T12/T72 before it’s introduction in 1986 and the U11 before it’s introduction in 1983.

The RB, what many consider to be the CA with 2 additional cylinders added to create an inline-6 engine; is also one of Nissan’s best engines.

The VG had always been a great engine, but I wouldn’t ever consider it ‘something to write home about’. The VG, like the RB and the VQ; had been produced in displacements ranging from 2.0-3.0 liters, a 2.5 liter version had also been produced; and each members of the VG engine family had been produced as being normally aspirated, with a single turbocharger; and with twin turbochargers and an intercooler.

Then there’s the VQ, which everyone knows has made Ward’s 10 Best Engines list from 1994-2008 and again briefly in 2012.
