    November 24th, 2015

Commercials from 1973 for this year’s release for this bodystyle of GM truck that would last until 1991.
In the case of these commercials-the Suburban and the K5 Blazer.

  • Having A Volkswagen Corrado, A GTI With The VR6; Or An Audi TT As A ‘Toy’ Vehicle

    November 23rd, 2015

My father has always wanted to have a Corrado or a GTI with the VR6. The Audi TT can be considered as the official successor to the Corrado because both are sport cars on the Golf platform, and Volkswagen had most likely felt that they would be better off marketing their next-generation halo sport car as an Audi and not as a Volkswagen because people expect a higher sticker price for an Audi, and the clientele for Audi is more affluent when compared to Volkswagen; especially for the top reason for the Corrado’s demise-it having been the most expensive model that Volkswagen had built and sold the world over. Without a doubt, the world was not ready for an expensive Volkswagen-branded product during the Corrado’s time. An Audi-branded product had always been a different story.

The Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT are more possibilities to have as a ‘toy’ vehicle as some point in time in the future, besides the K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe and the Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster.

The Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT will fulfill both mine and my father’s Volkswagen frenzies, and either one of these 3 cars serve my emotional needs of once again having a Volkswagen.

To get parts for the Corrado, GTI with the VR6, or the Audi TT; we would take a short drive within the Detroit Metropolitan Area to the same place where in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”, my father takes Rick Steves to that wholesales OEM Volkswagen/Audi parts. In reality, they had recently moved to a new location and warehouse on 10 Mile Road in Warren, Michigan.

    http://www.partsplaceinc.com/

The other child that my parents had, as well as her husband will never be allowed to drive the heavier-duty pickup. The only other person that will ever drive this truck besides my parents is myself, yours truly. This includes me getting angry to no end if my mother generously offers my sister and her husband to drive the Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT.
The relatives that we don’t like and don’t associate with-my mother’s family will never be allowed in the Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT. This also includes me not only having a coronary if my mother had generously offered for both her eldest brother’s daughter and his niece, and her youngest brother’s son to drive the Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT.
Darlene, her husband and sons; and Carletta and her daughter will also never be allowed in this truck, and Moe nor Carletta’s older daughter would be allowed in the Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT.if they were still alive.
Mary Agnes “Mag”, Shannon, Alison, Sean; and Colin will all be required to ride in the backseat of the regardless of how crammed and uncomfortable they’d be in the backseat of the Corrado and the TT, being designed mainly for temporary use; and both cars having a 2+2 seating configuration. The GTI with the VR6, being a conventional 3-door Golf with a more powerful engine and sportier suspension and handling characteristics; should have a slightly roomier backseat, and unlike the other 2 cars- the GTI can seat up to 5 people.

Maybe Mary Agnes “Mag”, Shannon, Alison, Sean; and Colin will all come to realize just how important Volkswagens/Audis have always been to us.

With the Corrado and the TT being on the Golf platform and the GTI being a standard 3-door Golf with a more powerful engine, I can stress to the 3 girls Volkswagen’s heavy usage of the Golf platform for other vehicles-such as the Tiguan, Touran, and the Caddy; and Ford’s heavy usage of the Focus platform for the Escape/Kuga, Lincoln MKC, C-MAX; and the Transit Connect.

I can also use this time in our Volkswagen product to try and talk Alison into buying locally while at home in Italy: a European-spec Fiesta, Focus, Fusion/Mondeo, Escape/Kuga, C-MAX, Transit Connect, B-MAX, Transit Courier, EcoSport B-Segment SUV, new-generation Ford Edge; or an S-MAX/Galaxy. Alison would love the Fiesta as much as she loves the Volkswagen Polo, she would lobe the Focus as much as she loves the Golf; and Alison would also love the Fusion/Mondeo as much as she loves the Passat.

With the Mustang going on sale in Europe for the first time in Europe, Alison could also maybe consider buying a European-spec Mustang, or maybe even both the front-wheel-drive and the rear-wheel-drive versions of the Transit Full-Size Van.
Ann, Paul, and maybe also Margaret and Ralph will also be required to ride in the backseat of the Corrado, GTI with the VR6; or the Audi TT. Margaret & Ralph having once owned a diesel 1st generation Golf/Rabbit and with Ann & Paul having owned many Volkswagens before- will more likely comprehend our emotional attachment to Volkswagens/Audis.

  • Having a K5 Blazer/2-Door Tahoe Or A Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster As A ‘Toy’ Vehicle

    November 23rd, 2015

A 1/2 ton pickup that my mother currently owns fulfills my emotional needs as much as a Caprice wagon and a Suburban would. Just like how the heavier-duty pickup that we’re maybe thinking of buying will serve my emotional needs as much as a diesel Suburban and a diesel Full-Size van would.
Having a K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe or a Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster as a ‘toy’ vehicle would also serve my emotional needs as much as a Caprice wagon and a Suburban would.

The K5 Blazer/2-Door Tahoe would only be acceptable as a diesel, and in the case of the Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster-the 318 V8 would have to be omitted; and only the 225 slant-6, the V6 that’s the 318 V8 with 2 cylinders removed to create a V6, and the 360 V8 are acceptable.
If we have a K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe or a Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster as a ‘toy’ vehicle, the following rules will be enforced towards it:
Like with the heavier-duty pickup, the other child that my parents had, as well as her husband will never be allowed to drive the heavier-duty pickup. The only other person that will ever drive this truck besides my parents is myself, yours truly. This includes me getting angry to no end if my mother generously offers my sister and her husband to drive the K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe or a Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster.
Like with the heavier-duty pickup, the relatives that we don’t like and don’t associate with-my mother’s family will never be allowed in the K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe or a Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster. This also includes me not only having a coronary if my mother had generously offered her youngest brother’s son to drive the K5 Blazer/2-door Tahoe or a Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster.

Mary Agnes “Mag”, Shannon, Alison, Sean; and Colin will all be required to ride in the backseat of the Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster; and maybe they’ll come to understand the importance of vehicles like this and the heavier-duty pickup truck.
Ann, Paul, and maybe also Margaret and Ralph will also be required to ride in the backseat of the Dodge Ramcharger/Plymouth TrailDuster.

  • French Term Bete Noire

    November 22nd, 2015

The French term Bete Noire is a term to be used towards my mother’s family, Darlene, Carletta; and her daughter.

In reality and not in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”, the French term Bete Noire can also be used towards Warren Consolidated Schools bus drivers Kim “Froggie” Proch, Pam Mott, Penny Orban, Anita Jacob, Sherry Misiak, Anne Waldowski; and Mary Behr.

Also in reality and not in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”,  the French term Bete Noire Warren Consolidated Schools employees Ann Kolinski, Carolyn Armbruster, Terri Dworkin, Julie Stanaway, Celia Socha, Darlene Zimmerman, Julie Kelson-Dean, Gilka Paxton; and Carolyn Ann Tuzzo.

Last, the French term term Bete Noire can be applied towards the best friend of my mother’s eldest brother’s nephew’s best friend, Warren Consolidated Schools employee Jeffrey Carron.

The word anathema can also be applied toward these people.

Blissful, according to a thesaurus; is a word that can be used to describe the opposite of the French term Bete Noire. A near antonym, in other words.

My father’s entire family (with the exception of Bernice and her daughter Carletta) are blissful.

Warren Consolidated Schools employees Sherry Foster, George Seguin, Sue Waters, Linda Culliton, Delena Cohrs, Leonard Remy, Diana MacNeil, Shari Fitzpatrick, Anne Mills, Mary Ann O’Chalek, Linda Glisman; and Amber Williamson are all blissful.

If I could apply the French term Bete Noire to any object, those objects would be most minivans (with the exception of the T3 and T4 Transporter/Vanagon/EuroVan, the R20/R30 Toyota MasterAce/VanWagon, the XR20 Toyota Estima/Previa; and the Chevrolet Astro/GMC Safari), Pontiac Aztek, Buick Rendezvous, Chrysler Pacifica, K-Cars (including the related Chrysler minivan from that era), Pontiac Grand Am and it’s GM corporate siblings (the GM N-platform), the GM J-platform, Ford Fox platform, North American Escort; and the Ford Tempo/Mercury Topaz.

The word anathema can also be applied towards these objects.

Objects that, on the contrary, are blissful; are the GM B-platform, Ford Panther platform, Full-Size pickup trucks, Suburbans, K5 Blazers/2-door Tahoes, more modern 4-door Tahoes, Full-Size vans, Volkswagens/Audis, Mercedes-Benzs built up until the late 1990’s, School Buses, most Jeeps (not including the recent paltry, car-based Compass/Patriot), Land Rovers, the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Nissan Patrol, Nissan products such as the Z-Car, Skyline wagon, and the Cedric/Gloria; other Toyota products such as the Supra, Sorer/Lexus SC, Toyota Crown; and the Cressida/Chaser/Mark II/Cresta.

The term Bete Noire, however; can be applied to the Hummer H2, Cadillac Escalade; and the Lincoln Navigator.

  • A70 Toyota Supra

    November 21st, 2015

Below is a link to a dealer that specializes in collectable cars that has an A70 Supra in pristine condition, the type of condition that I would like to keep a vehicle in.
As the ad implies, it has the normally aspirated 7M-GE engine.
    http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/active#!/1987-Toyota-Supra/135357/326225
This is the generation of Supra that Ed gives Arthur and his parents in the Arthur movie for adults. Only the one that Arthur and his parents own has the 7M-GTE turbocharged engine (the turbocharged version of the 7M engine and one of a few turbocharged variants of Toyota’s M engine). This vehicle, of course; is one of many in the collection of Arthur and his parents.
As always, it matters as to how much money Toyota had spent developing and testing this generation of Supra before it went into production at Toyota’s plant in Tahara, Japan in May, 1986.
Map of where in Japan Toyota’s Tahara Assembly plant is:

I have never been fond of the GM chassis & cowl, while I’ve always been fond of the Ford B-Series and International chassis & cowls.

The GM chassis & cowl had never held up as well as the Ford & International chassis & cowls always had.

Another way to put it is that the GM chassis & cowl had never proven itself in the industry as superiorly as the Ford & International chassis & cowls always had.

  • WJBK-TV News Anchor Sherry Margolis

    November 18th, 2015

Sherry Margolis, a native of Buffalo, New York; has worked at WKBW-AM and for Irv Weinstein at the sister television station (WKBW-TV), WGR-TV as a news anchor and as a ‘weather girl’; and at independent, non-affiliated station WUTV-TV hosting their in-house, locally produced children’s program called the Jelly Roll Review.
Sherry Margolis had left Buffalo and had arrived at WJBK-TV in 1984, just before Storer Broadcasting had been taken over by KKR.
Even during the radical changes that had occurred to WJBK-TV since 1984, such as the gruesome FOX affiliation switch; Storer having even later been taken over by Gillet Communications once KKR wanted out, then by New World Communications (who was responsible for the FOX affiliation switch of the ex-Storer stations); and finally, being owned and operated outright by FOX; Sherry Margolis had stayed at WJBK-TV and continues working there to this very day.
Luckily, by reading “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”; this book is a place where Sherry Margolis can turn to ruminate on WJBK-TV forevermore being owned by Storer Broadcasting and being affiliated with CBS.
Sherry Margolis and Marie “Mimi, Mary Ann; and their family each have something in common pertaining to she being a native of Buffalo, New York; and Marie “Mimi”, Stan; and Mary Ann having moved to Buffalo from Detroit when Stan had transferred to the postion as the plant manager of the General Motors engine plant in the Buffalo suburb of Tonawanda, New York (having worked at a position in the old General Motors headquarters in downtown Detroit prior to accepting this position); Buffalo being where Mary Ann had met Whit and where they had both married, and Buffalo being where all of Mary Ann’s children were born.
Video of Sherry Margolis hosting the in-house, locally produced children’s program called the Jelly Roll Review at WUTV-TV:
