  • Interesting House Plan

    February 10th, 2016

An interesting house plan with a hexagonal shape and an indoor courtyard within the center of the ‘hexagon’.

This house has 5 bedrooms (6 if you count the guest suite)

This house plan would be doable in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood” as a house for my parents, I, and my paternal grandmother to live in together if we had built our own house instead of buying a house that’s already built.

The only modification that I would make to this house plan would be that I would change the garage from being a 2-car garage to a 3-car garage. I am aware of the square footage of this house increasing if I were to change the size of the garage to a 3-car garage.

  • Mansion House Plans

    February 9th, 2016

I would never want to live in a mansion, nevertheless build my own. But here are some Mansion house plans, the stereotypical of home with a elevator built into them; that seem to catch the eye of yours truly.

  • CEO Of A Pharmaceutical Company

    February 9th, 2016

This young CEO of a pharmaceutical company, Martin Shkreli; who has been arrested by the FBI and is being indebted on charges of securities fraud and released on bail reminds me a lot of NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin.

Martin Shkreli had dropped out of high School, and had later earned credits necessary for his diploma through a program that placed him in an internship at the Wall Street hedge fund Cramer, Berkowitz and Company when he was 17 years old. Even later, he had also performed an act of one-upmanship by donating $1 Million dollars to the High School that he had dropped out of. Some faculty and alumni perceive this donation by Martin Shkreli as a ‘take that’ act of retaliation.

Now you tell me how an immature, High School dropout such as Martin Shkreli had become a CEO of a pharmaceutical company.

Martin Shkreli had also spent $2 million at an auction for an album of weirdo music, is very active on an internet battle arena, and during the aftermath of his testimony before Congress regarding his price hike of the drug Daraprim; Martin Shkreli had even wrote “hard to accept that these imbeciles represent the people in our government”. Immature for a CEO if you ask me. If Martin Shkreli would want to know something, he is the one who is the imbecilic person and not the members of Congress who he had to testify in front of.

Martin Shkreli should be forced to listen to Adult Contemporary, Jazz; and Easy Listening Music. And Martin Shkreli should be transported on a School Bus.

Not only does Martin Shkreli look like Denny Hamlin, he also seems to act like Denny Hamlin. Both have an equally flamboyant personality.

Of course, Denny Hamlin lives in a fancy mansion, drives a Lexus LS; and has an (icky, yucky) Basketball court on his property.

Even these photos depict just how much of a loggerhead Martin Shkreli is:

  • Transforming Even More Men From Being Fit And Muscular To Being Fat And Overweight

    February 9th, 2016

I would also transform actors Josh Holloway, Justin Hartley, and Eric Martsolf from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight.

Josh Holloway should be barred from playing any icky, yucky Basketball and icky, yucky Soccer.

Eric Martsolf should be barred from playing any icky, yucky sports; period, and end of story.

  • David Foster As A Guest On Phil McGraw’s Talk Show

    February 8th, 2016

Phil McGraw has had Canadian musician David Foster as a guest on his talk show a few times before.

Of more importance is when Mazda had used one of David Foster’s songs for one of their commercials in Japan in 1984, and when David Foster had hosted the CBC Television program Good Rockin’ Tonight in the 1980’s. I think that David Foster’s appearance on Phil McGraw’s talk show pales in importance when compared to these happenings of David Foster’s during the 1980’s.

  • Public Surplus: Auction #1536837

    February 8th, 2016

Another Blue Bird conventional style School Bus on the GM chassis & cowl.

As I have stated in earlier posts, I am not fond of the GM chassis & cowl, and the GM chassis & cowl was not as trustworthy as the Ford B-Series and International chassis & cowls were.

The person who had composed this listing on Public Surplus has stated that the engine is a V6. That person couldn’t be more wrong, as the engine is an inline-6. V means that the cylinder bank is a “V” shaped form, while an inline engine consists of a cylinder bank where the cylinders are straight across in an inline form.

The last time a V6 diesel was ever offered in the School Bus market was the problematic GM ToroFlow diesel engine, a version of the GMC V6 engine converted to a diesel. This was in the 1960’s and early 1970’s.

  • If We Were To Have An RV In Early Life And Continuous Livelihood

    February 8th, 2016

If we were to have an RV in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”, we would have a Class 3 single-rear-wheel or dual-rear wheel pickup truck and a Fifth-Wheel trailer.

The Fifth-Wheel trailer is suitable for traveling very occasionally and wanting to park the RV in a certain spot for a little while and use it as a moving cottage, is far homier and roomier than any motorhome of an identical size due to not having to factor in the driver’s compartment; and having to build the coach on a standard truck or bus chassis. The cost to title, register, plate, and insure a conventional travel trailer or a Fifth-Wheel trailer is also vastly less than any Motorhome, as is the case in the State of Michigan.

A simpler way to put it is that a motorhome is not designed and intended to be parked for a while in a single spot, be used as a moving cottage; and to be used very infrequently. A motorhome is designed for moving from one place to another frequently, and for frequent overall usage.

In our case, we’d use the Fifth-Wheel trailer mostly for planting a cottage at our campsite in Vermont for a little while, while we visit Marie “Mimi”, Mary Ann, and their family; and my paternal grandmother has ample time to visit with her eldest sibling and her eldest niece/goddaughter.

Another reason as to why we’d have an RV is to have our own surroundings and our own belongings with us while we’d rarely travel.

In fact, the hominess in the Fifth-Wheel trailer is a verbatim to the hominess in our large house on a vast amount of property.

The length of 36-40 feet would suit the 5 of us (my parents, myself, my sister; and my paternal grandmother) very well while we’d temporarily reside inside of the Fifth-Wheel trailer.

We would buy a brand-new Newmar or Travel Supreme Fifth-Wheel trailer. The Fifth-Wheel trailer would have a floorplan that consists of 2 bedrooms, and possibly; 2 bathrooms.

We would buy either a Ford or a GM GMT400 Class 3 pickup as either 2-wheel-drive with a locking or limited slip differential or 4-wheel-drive, a Crew Cab with the center-band two-tone paint job that we like, and either the Red or Blue interiors.

Just like with the diesel Suburban, I would always be sitting in the middle of the front bench seat next to my paternal grandmother in the front passenger seat and whichever one of my parents is driving at the moment, Marie “Mimi, Mary Ann; and all 5 of her children would have to sit in the backseat at all times while they’d be transported in this truck, Shari Lewis, her daughter Mallory, and her sister-in-law Judith Krantz would, at one time; be transported in this truck, sitting in the backseat; and Marc Brown and his sisters would also, at one time; be transported in this truck, sitting in the backseat. Rick Steves would also be transported in this pickup truck at one time or another, and he too, would be sitting in the backseat.

The premise of buying our house on a vast amount of property that we move into with my paternal grandmother together would be that we’d rarely, if ever at all; go on vacations together as a family, we’d never have a cabin cruiser boat or a vacation home/cottage; and only my paternal grandmother would go on her vacations around the world. Getting an RV (such as the Class 3 pickup truck and the Fifth-Wheel trailer) would have only been about 10% probable and likely in this scenario.

The other premise of buying our house on a vast amount of property would be that my father has a shorter commute to his work while my mother has a longer and lengthier commute to her work as a School Bus driver.

The Class 3 pickup truck also isn’t as rare as the diesel Suburban, the diesel 2-door Tahoe; and a diesel Full-Size van all are.

Either way, the diesel Suburban, the diesel 2-door Tahoe, if we purchased a diesel Full-Size Van in lieu of the diesel Suburban, and if we bought this Class 3 pickup truck and a Fifth-Wheel trailer would be vehicles that we intend on holding onto for a long, long time. Well into the time in the future where the diesel Suburban, the diesel 2-door Tahoe; and a diesel Full-Size van would each become rare collectibles. And well into the time in the future where GM B-platform station wagons and any vehicle built on the Ford Panther would become collectibles.

We’d still purchase the older Class 6 Medium-Duty truck as either a Box Truck or a Flatbed to haul things occasionally, even if we did purchase the Class 3 pickup truck and a Fifth-Wheel trailer.

The Ford Class 3 pickup truck from this time:

This is either one of the two interior colors we’d get if we bought the Ford pickup: Blue (pictured below) or Red.

The GM Class 3 truck from this time:

One that has been customized, but has the OEM/factory paint job that we like:

1993 Chevrolet C3500 Cheyenne Fleetside 7.4L V8 RWD Crew Cab

This is either one of the two interior colors we’d get if we bought the Ford pickup: Red or Blue.

Dodge, at the time; did not offer a Crew Cab (they haven’t offered a Crew Cab since 1985 and won’t offer a Crew Cab again until 2006); but they did offer the center-band two-tone paint job that we like, at this time.

  • Coca-Cola Commercial From Japan From 1983

    February 7th, 2016

A Coca-Cola commercial from Japan and from a better time-1983.

I really like the synthesized Disco music that’s used throughout the entire duration of this commercial.

I have recently discovered that the American soft drink companies who distribute their products in Japan sell their products in a (milk) carton-such as depicted with a young girl drinking Coca-Cola with a straw in a carton in this commercial.

  • Continental Europe And The British Isles

    February 7th, 2016

One can imagine flying in an airplane at 12,000 feet catching an aerial glimpse of nearly the entire continent of Europe. From Spain to Russia, from Scandinavia to Greece; and from Scotland to the islands of Ajaccio, Corsica; and Sardinia.

I, personally could imagine flying in an in an airplane at 12,000 feet catching a glimpse of nearly the entire continent of Europe. And all I would think about if I were on an airplane in this situation would be all the Volkswagens, Audis, Mercedes-Benzs, Renaults, Citroens; and Peugeots driving around on the ground below; and whisking away all the young, hipster male Europeans on the ground below with undercut haircuts that should be forced to have a different haircut; and also have tattoos-which should be removed. And then I could think about all the normal, conservative, and pleasant older Europeans-where tattoos aren’t anywhere on their radar, enjoy being fat and overweight, have an appreciation for 1980’s music; and have appreciation for the A2 and A3 Golf/GTI/Jetta/Vento, B2 and B3 Passat, and Mercedes-Benz W126, W140, W124; and W201. on the ground below.

  • 1940’s General Electronic Corporation Shortwave Receiver

    February 7th, 2016

A 1940’s General Electronic (not to be confused with General Electric, and is a wholly separate company from General Electric) shortwave receiver.

The shortwave dial lists the BBC Daventry, CBS Wayne, New Jersey and Brentwood, New York, NBC Bound Brook, New Jersey; GE Schenectady, New York; Westinghouse WBOS-SW and W8XK, Philips Huizen, Netherlands; and the Allouis, France shortwave transmitter sites.

The mediumwave dials lists mediumwave stations from Wales, Dublin, Munich, BBC Light Program, Hilversum, Netherlands; Prague, Stuttgart; and many more locations throughout Europe.

As you may be aware if you’ve been following this blog, I would have loved to be on this planet during this shortwave receiver’s time and when these shortwave stations were around. Only I couldn’t stand people on average, dressing to the nines and the hairstyles that were around at the time.

  • Rick Steves’s Travels To Cuba

    February 7th, 2016

With the United States and Cuba reconciling and rekindling their relationship for the first time since the early 1960’s-when Castro came into power, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and when Cuba began to side with the Soviet Union; and with the recent lifting of the ban against Americans traveling to Cuba, Rick Steves has recently traveled to Cuba

Rick would say to my paternal grandmother that he’s always wanted to travel to Cuba, and my paternal grandmother would always remind him of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the barring of the United States’ relationship with Cuba, and the ban of Americans having any presence in Cuba is still fresh in her mind, as was and is also the aggressive action that President John F. Kennedy had taken against the Cuban Missile Crisis.

For your information, the Berlin Wall was built around the same time as the Cuban Missile Crisis-in 1961, because of Communist nations wanting to isolate themselves from nontotalitarian Western powers and influences.

Rick has traveled to Cuba with his son Andy (who is about my age), Jackie (who is about my sister age); and his girlfriend Trish Feaster.

Stating that Rick is very happy that he has finally been able to travel to Cuba after 60 1/2 years of being on this planet and having been in adulthood since 1973 (when he had traveled to Europe with Gene Openshaw immediately after them both graduating from High School) is an understatement. No doubt is he on Cloud Nine when it comes to traveling to Cuba.

Because of the trade embargo with the United States and other Western nations, 1950’s automobiles are still on the road to this very day, and have been on the road since the enactment of this trade embargo, along with newer Ladas (Lada is a Russian manufacturer of automobile) because of the alliance with the Soviet Union. Ladas are practically the only cars from the 1960’s-present on the road in Cuba.

When describing the appearance of the 1950’s automobiles in the Cuban night sky, Rick even states that “by night, the glint of 60-year-old chrome gives the scene a time-passed elegance”.

  • Siberian And Far Eastern Sections Of Russia

    February 7th, 2016

One could spend an entire summer in northern Siberia and in the Far Eastern section of Russia, living through the cooler weather where the 60s is the warmest it ever gets during the summer months in these sections of Russia. Of course, the entire nation of Russia (not counting the former Soviet European nations and the former Soviet Central Asian countries) has a reputation for having a very cold climate for most of the year.

Adventurous people, such as Ray do things like this-being whether it’s in Russia or anywhere else in the world; living there for months at a time before they return back home.

One example of a northern Siberian town is the town of Norilsk, Russia. This is an industrial town, one of many that was built by the Russian people to pack up, leave more established and densely populated areas areas of Russia, populate a remote, rural area; and start new lives in these newly populated areas.

Novosibirsk is a notable example of a municipality that was built by the Russian people to pack up, leave more established and densely populated areas areas of Russia; had populated what was then a remote, rural area in southern Siberia; and it’s early settlers had begun new lives in this newly populated area. Many Germans, Austrians, Poles, Ukrainians; and Belarusians have also settled in Novosibirsk to began new lives there. There are even many buildings of German and Austrian architecture in Novosibirsk, and the Germans and the Austrians have settled there have even brought their love for classical music and methods for conducting a public concert for classical music similar to the concerts held in opera houses in Vienna, Austria.

Vladivostok, situated at the Far Eastern coast of Russia on the Sea of Japan and is located near China, North Korea, and the Japanese island of Hokkaido; experiences a very cold climate during the Winter months.

My paternal grandmother could want to venture into these remote, lesser-known corners of Russia rather than visit more populated and better-known areas such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, whenever she’d travel to Russia.
