  • A 1986 Blue Bird Conventional On The International S-Series Chassis & Cowl

    March 27th, 2016

A 1986 Blue Bird conventional style School Bus on the International S-Series chassis & cowl with he 9.0 liter V8 diesel engine.

Not only is this body/chassis combination one of my personal favorites, this body/chassis/engine combination, along with 48 passenger Thomas or Carpenter conventional style School Buses on the International S-Series chassis & cowl with the 9.0 liter V8 diesel engine; are what the Director of Transportation for Elmwood City Public Schools (Arthur’s mother’s boss) buys as wheelchair buses in the Arthur movie for adults. Depending on which body manufacturer has the lowest bid for the specified body and chassis equipment for each year throughout the 1980’s. One year, it would be Blue Bird; another year, it may be Carpenter; and the year after, it may be Thomas.

Arthur’s mother’s boss buys 36 passenger Blue Bird, Thomas, and Carpenter conventional style School Buses on the Ford B-Series chassis & cowl with the Brazilian-built New Holland 7.8 liter diesel engine and the Allison AT-545 transmission as the non-wheelchair smaller size buses.

When IH/Navistar discontinues the 9.0 liter diesel V8 engine in 1988, Arthur’s mother’s boss begins to buy the International S-Series chassis & cowl and later, the 3800 chassis & cowl once it replaces the S-Series with the DT360 diesel engine.

  • Dodge Forward Control Medium-Duty Truck

    March 25th, 2016

During the 1960’s and early 1970’s, Chrysler had produced Dodge Forward Control Medium-Duty trucks that shared a cab with the Dodge A-van pickup truck models. They were given the “L” model designation, not to be confused with Ford’s L-Series Medium & Heavy-Duty trucks.

These trucks were built with the slant-6 engines, B-series V8 engines; and Cummins and Perkins diesel engines.

These trucks were Dodge’s competitor to the Ford C-Series, GM New Steel Tilt Cab, and the International Harvester/Navistar Cargostar.

These were built at the Chrysler plant on Sherwood Avenue in Warren, Michigan along with the rest of Dodge’s Medium & Heavy-Duty truck line.

  • NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Driver And Presenter Of The Television Show Legendary Motorcar Gary Klutt

    March 24th, 2016

If NASCAR Canadian Series driver Gary Klutt was casted in the Arthur movie for adults, he would be casted as the Butler/slave of the Read household.

Gary Klutt would be trained to be a butler by Bailey, the butler of the Crosswire household.

Gary Klutt would be fat and overweight in this movie instead of being fit and muscular like how he is in real life, and Gary Klutt would be animated as having his hair like the boy pictured below while providing his voice in this movie.

    IMGP6647

Gary Klutt’s duties would be the same as Bailey’s in the Crosswire household. And Gary Klutt would do exactly what the Reads tell him to whenever they tell him to do it, would be highly obedient and respectful, would eat whatever the Reads put in front of him; and one of his duties would include using his commercial truck & bus driving skills, race car driving skills; and mechanical vehicle maintenance and repair skills to maintain the Reads’ collection of over 50 vehicles, the farm Jeep CJ-6 and the farm Land Rover Series II, and the International 886 tractor that the Reads own.

And it is the farm Jeep CJ-6 and the farm Land Rover Series II, and the International 1086 tractor with mower attachments that Gary Klutt would cut the grass for the Reads, all 13 acres of their property. The International 786 tractor has the D360 engine, a normally aspirated version of the DT360 diesel engine. The international 886 tractor also has a climate-controlled cab over the operator station, an expensive option that the Reads had opted for when they had purchased the tractor in 1977.

A plate of grated cheese and a plate of croutons would be all that Arthur’s parents would ever feed Gary Klutt.

Arthur’s parents buy Gary Klutt a diesel powered version of the Pontiac T1000 (Pontiac version of the Chevrolet Chevette, Opel Kadett C; and the Isuzu Gemini) with the Isuzu 4BF1 diesel engine for Gary to run errands in as the household butler. Jane & David Read consider it moot with the Chevette/T1000 being as awful of a car they are in the case of them buying a car just for their butler to run errands on behalf of the household.

As awful of a platform the GM T-platform is, the car that Jane & David Read buy their butler is the rarest of the U.S built T-cars because of the Pontiac being rarer than the Chevrolet, Isuzu-powered diesel Chevettes being rare; and Isuzu-powered diesel T1000s being even rarer.

When Gary Klutt’s duties as a butler call for a pickup truck, Arthur’s parents Jane & David have him covered there, too. They’ve also purchased Gary Klutt a Dodge Rampage-the pickup truck version of the Plymouth Horizon/Dodge Omni with the K-Car 2.2 liter 4-cylinder engine, the A413 automatic transaxle; and a center-band two-tone paint job. Like with the Pontiac T1000, they consider it moot with how awful of a vehicle the Dodge Rampage; like with every other K-Car or Chrysler L-platform is as this is one of two vehicles intended for their butler to run errands on behalf of the household.

Purchasing the Dodge Rampage is the one and only time Arthur’s parents support one of their foes-the evil Iacocca, who, at one point in time in the movie; shows up at the Reads’ front door and Arthur’s mother Jane then rambles on to the evil Iacocca about how they’ve found a bunch of better cars and they bought them all, mimicking Iacocca’s famous tagline in the commercials for the Chrysler Corporation that he had starred in.

The purpose of having Gary Klutt casted as the Butler of the Read household would be to execute the differences in personalities and family dynamics in the characters in this movie-such as Arthur & his parents versus the other family that D.W & Katherine are a part of versus the mainstream children (such as Francine, Buster, and Prunella to name a few) that attend and reside at the Catholic boarding school.

And also, to execute the contrasting values of Jane & David Read being strict to Gary Klutt as their Butler versus not being strict to Arthur, letting Arthur do whatever he wants, letting Arthur have much of whatever he wants, being soft on Arthur; and letting Arthur eat whatever he wants.

It shall be brought to your attention that as the Reads’ Butler in this movie, that Gary Klutt will be forced to listen to Adult Contemporary, Jazz, and Easy Listening music; and they won’t have any tolerance for the music that the band whose concert that Gary Klutt had attended when he was in Detroit one time.

  • Yet Another Post Regarding Who Gives A Hoot About Sports

    March 20th, 2016

Yet another post about who gives a hoot about sports, that the college athletes that are the subject of this particular post should be transformed from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight; and that the automotive world and the world of broadcasting and Ham radio is much more important than icky, yucky sports.

And one of the athletes that’s the subject of this post, I would also closely examine his head with a magnifying glass to ensure that his hair will someday grow back.

Let alone the fact that School Buses are more important than icky, yucky sports.
