The recent Garry Marshall film titled “Mother’s Day”, like many other modern films; is not my cup of tea.
The recent Garry Marshall film titled “Mother’s Day” also isn’t my cup of tea because it’s about being congregated around people in general (in other words, people being social butterflies), being congregated around family members/relatives, gift giving; and pregnant women about to become new mothers.
Video of a documentary that had aired on PBS in 1979 about Gary Marshall, the shows that he had created for ABC; and when ABC’s slogan and image campaigns were modeled after the Orleans song “Still The One”. Gary Marshall, at this time; was obviously more vibrant as he was younger, as opposed to him now being an old curmudgeon in his 80’s.
This motion picture evokes thoughts of if modern NASCAR drivers such as Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Elliott Sadler, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Brian Vickers, Casey Mears, Regan Smith, Josh Wise; and Michael McDowell were casted by Garry Marshall in this movie instead of actors such as Julia Roberts, Hector Elizondo; and Jennifer Aniston.
And I would spoil both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for these modern NASCAR drivers because I don’t want them to be the driving force behind the change and modernization of NASCAR, they should have never been allowed to get married, have children, and start a family in the first place; their marital status should remain the same as when they first began their Winston Cup careers in the early 2000’s-being that they should still be single; they shouldn’t enjoy celebrating the holidays with their relatives, they definitely should be banned from dressing to the nines, they should be fat and overweight instead of being fit and muscular; and they should have always been banned from being involved in sports.
I still consider these guys to be new drivers, and that drivers such as Bill Elliott, Ricky Rudd, and Rusty Wallace should still be racing.
The Mother’s Day and Father’s Day presents from me to these modern NASCAR drivers and their families would be a ride on my personal School Bus, so that they can finally comprehend just how much more important School Buses are than sports and fitness.
I would also spoil Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for NFL players Tom Brady, the Manning Brothers, and Drew Brees; NHL players Shane Doan, Derek Morris, and Tyson Nash; MLB players Kyle McClellan, Matt Holliday, Steve Pearce, Clint Barmes, Reed Johnson, and Chad Gaudin; and NBA players Eric Montross, Scott Pollard, Matt Geiger, Jud Buechler, Chris Burgess, and brothers Brent and Jon Berry; just to get them all to realize how much more important School Buses are than sports and fitness, and also; how much more important the broadcast radio and television and the ham radio worlds are than sports and fitness.
