Owning a GM B-platform Station Wagon, a Suburban, and a Volkswagen/Audi during the early 1990’s was, and still is more important than the sporting events that took place at this time that had been filmed in the video below.
WBT-AM-FM and their Television sibling WBTV-TV broadcasting on air and transmitting their signals at this time in February, 1991; are also more important than this sporting event that was taking place at this venue in the Charlotte area that had been constructed in 1988, and was demolished in 2007.
Then, as of now; sports enthusiasts needed to comprehend that besides the WBT stations being in operation as of this time, that if CBS had the rights to NBA any longer; adding to their tenure that had been in place since 1972-that CBS Television affiliate WBTV would have aired this NBA event. Nonetheless, CBS had lost the rights to the NBA in 1989 to NBC, and had televised their last NBA event 1990; and then NBA having televised their first NBA event in late 1990 during the beginning of the 1990-1991 season, and this NBA event that is the video below being the first NBA All-Star game that NBC had ever televised; Bob Costas having been assigned by NBC to call this NBA event as a relief to Marv Albert due to Marv having experienced a death in his family at this time, and as the Charlotte area has always been the hub of NASCAR-NASCAR still having its old ways, CBS still holding the rights to NASCAR, and Ken Squier still calling the NASCAR events that CBS still had at this time; are all more important than the City of Charlotte having won the bid to host this particular NBA event, the sports culture, the athletes’ lifelong commitment to the sport-including all of the training, strength, and conditioning that they have gone through ever since a young age; and all of those at this time who needed to get a life with regards to having spectated this NBA event in person at the Charlotte Coliseum, watched NBC’s coverage of this NBA event on their Televisions at home; and those who had idolized those NBA athletes that had participated in this event.
Furthermore, then, as of now; modern NASCAR drivers Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Brian Vickers, Casey Mears; and Carl Edwards still need to get a life when it comes to sports and fitness, bah humbug to them ushering in the modern era of NASCAR; and ho hum to major Basketball fans Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, and Casey Mears potentially having watched NBC’s coverage of this NBA event on the televisions in their places of residence as of this time.
