I am very saddened by the passing of former Miss American and CBS Sports and Newscaster Phyllis George.
Phyllis George, a pioneering Female Sportscaster; was as integral to CBS Sports as Brent Musberger, Jim Nantz, Verne Lundquist, Ken Squier, Pat Summerall; and Dick Stockton.
Bob Schieffer had also enjoyed working with Phyllis George in CBS’s News Department.
