I, the owner of this very Blog; can not tolerate Smart Cellular Telephones, other Smart Devices, and Social Media all being the lifeblood of younger generations of people.
If you’ve been following this Blog for a while, you also know that I don’t have any tolerance for younger generations of people being modernists, who always yearn for the latest, greatest, and trendiest things; are usually flippant, and think only about the here, now, whatever is in front of them, and whatever comes their way; rather than being philosophical, and erudite, and thinking along the lines of the past state of being, how things first came into being, how things have and will continue to evolve, the construction of all matter in the Universe, and so on.
You also know that I don’t have any tolerance for most of the people from the younger generations being shiftless, and unambitious.
It does not matter to me if people such as myself are esoteric.
I would prefer to have a Landline, Home Phone Service, and a Landline Corded or Cordless Phone instead of a Cellular Telephone.
I would also prefer to use a Payphone, and posses a Bag Phone, or a Brick-style Cellular Phone instead of a Smart Cellular Telephone.
You do have to wonder how Internet Retailers such as Amazon, and Brick and Mortar Retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, and BJ’s can manage to sell Smart Cellular Telephones; including this one manufactured by the Korean manufacturer Samsung that young radicals would be willing to part with nearly $2,000 United States Dollars to purchase:
And this Smart Cellular Telephone manufactured by the British company Vertu that costs nearly $20,000 United States Dollars:
And also, this Smart Cellular Telephone manufactured by the British company Vertu with an outer casing made from real Animal hide (as I am writing this post, I feel so bad for these Animals who were killed against the will of God and every other higher power only for sport and for manufacturing items such as Luxury Upholstery and parts of Cellular Telephones) that costs nearly $4,000 United States Dollars:
The one and only aspect of Smart Cellular Telephones that I care about is the Radio aspect of them. including the Radio Signals and Cellular Towers.
Heck, Amateur/Ham Radio, and Commercial Broadcast Radio are both more important than Smart Cellular Telephone culture; and Smart Cellular Telephones, and other Smart Devices being the lifeblood of younger generations of people.
Younger generations of people should consider all that Bell Laboratories (the ingenious Research Division of the Bell System) had done to make Cellular technology possible, including the Radio aspect of Cellular Phones; instead of yearning for the latest, greatest, and trendiest things. being flippant, and thinking only about the here, now, whatever is in front of them, and whatever comes their way.
Amateur/Ham Radio Operators, and Shortwave Radio enthusiasts know all about Single Sideband (SSB), including what it actually is:
Young radical people in Great Britain and the Commonwealth nations should consider the impact that the British Home Office had and continues to have on the Research and Development of Cellular Technology; instead of yearning for the latest, greatest, and trendiest things. being flippant, and thinking only about the here, now, whatever is in front of them, and whatever comes their way.

Cumulus Media selling WDRQ-FM (nee WJBK-FM) to Family Life Radio for $10 Million Dollars. Family Life Radio, will in turn; convert the license of WDRQ-FM from a Commercial to a Religious license, and Family Life Radio will also change the format of WDRQ-FM to having a Religious format.
WDRQ-FM was put on the air by Storer Broadcasting, and was originally WJBK-FM, simulcasting 1500 WJBK-AM, Storer then changed the Call Letters of their AM and FM Radio Stations in Detroit to WDEE-AM-FM in 1969, Storer sold off WDEE-AM in 1970 while remaining for another year at Storer’s then brand-new Radio and Television Studios dubbed “Storer Place” located at 16550 West Nine Mile Road in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, Michigan; Storer sold off WDEE-FM in 1971 to Bartell Broadcasting, Bartell changed the Call Letters of WDEE-FM to WDRQ-FM, Bartell, in the beginning; had installed a Talk Radio format at WDRQ-FM before changing the format to Top 40/Current Hit Radio patterned after Bartell’s other Top 40-formatted Stations KCBQ-AM in San Diego and WOKY-AM in Milwaukee; that had seriously challenged CKLW-AM, and was able to fabricate Playlists and Programming that were not saddled with Canadian Content Regulations; for a year from 1979-1980, had an All-Disco format, had returned to the Mainstream Top 40 format a year later in 1980, had switched to an Urban Contemporary format in 1982 in response to increasing competition from WLLZ-FM, WJLB-FM, and WJR-FM having recently changed its Call Letters to WHYT-FM and its format to Mike Joseph’s “Hot Hits” Top 40 format, Bartell had sold WDRQ-FM to the Amaturo Radio Group in early 1985, Amaturo had changed the Call Letters to WLTI-FM and the format to Transtar Satellite Network’s ‘Format 41′ Easy Listening format (aimed at audiences who were born in the 1930’s and early 1940’s, who were in their 40’s and early 50’s at this time); ABC in 1995 (by this time, had merged with Capital Cities Communications, would soon be bought out by the Walt Disney Company, and had already sold off ABC’s heritage Radio Stations WXYZ-AM/WXYT-AM and WXYZ-FM/WRIF-FM by this time), would move its studios into the Fisher Building near the older General Motors Headquarters Building in the Detroit city proper, and would join Capital Cities’ Radio Stations that ABC had inherited upon the merger between the two companies; WJR-AM and WJR-FM (by this time, WPLT-FM), ABC Radio would change the Call Letters back to WDRQ-FM in August, 1996; and in the interim, change the format to a Dance Music format.
By January, 1997; what is again WDRQ-FM slowly began to segue to a Mainstream Top 40 format, and by April, 1999; the transition to the Mainstream Top 40 format was complete.
In April, 2005; WDRQ-FM (nee WJBK-FM) changed to what was in the 2000’s, the hottest Radio format, and what many FM Radio Stations felt compelled to change their formats to, the format dubbed “We Play Anything” (Male Given Name) format, particularly a hybrid Adult Hits-Classic Rock-Hot Adult Contemporary format. In this case, WDRQ-FM (nee WJBK-FM) had adopted the moniker “93.1 Doug FM” when it took this hybrid Adult Hits-Classic Rock-Hot Adult Contemporary format in April, 2005.
Bob Iger, CEO of the Walt Disney Company and ABC; and who was a Television man, and not a Radio man, did not view Radio as having much of a lucrative future by the time he assumed the position of CEO as both the Walt Disney Company and ABC in 2005. As a result, ABC sold its non-Radio Disney and non-ESPN Radio properties to Citadel Broadcasting in 2007.
Citadel had merged with Cumulus Media in September, 2011; resulting in many of the former ABC/Capital Cities Radio Stations falling into the ownership of Cumulus Media.
In November, 2013; WDRQ-FM had returned to the Country format for the first time since the early 1970’s, this time around; transmitting locally Cumulus’s prepackaged Satellite-based “Nash FM” Country music format.
As of the time of writing this post, WJBK-FM/WDRQ-FM will soon be changing to a Religious format.
From its sign on in 1948, up until some time during the 1980’s, WJBK-FM/WDRQ-FM had transmitted its signal from whichever same Transmitter Site WJBK-TV had transmitted its signal from, beginning at the Transmitter Site located at 8009 Lyndon Street in the Detroit city proper (this Transmitter Site would later be taken over by WBFG-FM/WLLZ-FM/WDZH-FM in
Followed by an earlier Transmitter Site on the property where Storer Place now stands, that went into service in circa 1952-1953:
Followed by the newer Transmitter Site that was built at the same time Storer Place was built during the years 1969-1970:
Followed by the current Transmitter Site shared by WJR-FM/WDVD-FM and WCHD-FM/WJZZ-FM/WDMK-FM on 10 Mile and Greenfield Roads beginning sometime in the 1980’s:
Shortly before Storer Broadcasting (then the Fort Industry Company) had purchased the WJBK Radio Stations in 1948 from the Detroit Broadcasting Company, WJBK-FM/WDRQ-FM had originally planned on using the Transmitter Site located at 15551 Woodrow Wilson Street in the Detroit city proper. The Tower/Mast that was originally slated for use by WJBK-FM is still standing (as of the time of writing this post).

An article from another Blog about Friesland, the Frisian language, and Radio.
Besides Amateur/Ham Radio, and Commercial Broadcast Radio and Television being one of my passions, another one of my passions are the minor, rare cultures of the world; such as the Frisian language and culture of Northern Europe, the Catalan, Basque, and Galician cultures and languages of Iberia and places in the New World that Spain and Portugal have colonized (such as, for instance; Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil) that have followed the Spanish and Portuguese languages and cultures to these places within the New World; the minority ethnic groups throughout Russia such as the Kalmyks, Buryats, Tuvans, Bashkirs, and Koryaks; and the minority ethnic groups throughout China such as the Uighurs, and the Yugurs, in addition to the Hui, Wa, Achang, Hakka, Jino, Monpa, Nu, Yi, Bai, Fuyu Kyrgyz, Ngái, Yao, Jingpo, Oroqen, Kucong, Dai, and the Jalaid peoples.
I’ve even published a version of my Book about the Stock Market that has been translated into the Standard Frisian language. Versions of my Book about the Stock Market translated into the North Frisian and West Frisian languages may come into fruition at some point in time in the future.

Daily writing promptWhat are the most important things needed to live a good life?
The most important things needed to live a good life are a sizable house on acres of property, such as this Farmhouse in the picture below (albeit this particular House being in disrepair as of the time this photograph was taken):

Having acquaintances such as the creator of the character Arthur and the eponymous series of Children’s Books and Animated Television Series Marc Brown, former Host of “This Old House” and later the host of his own Television Show “Bob Vila’s Home Again”, Bob Vila; NASCAR Team Owners Richard Childress, Rick Hendrick, Jack Roush, Tony Stewart, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Pictures of Marc Brown’s sons Tolon and Tucker in the 2nd and 3rd Row seats of a GM B-Platform Station Wagon in the 1971-1976 bodystyle and generation:

Picture of Marc Brown’s wife Laurene “Laurie” Krasny-Brown driving a Mark 1 (A1) Volkswagen Golf/Rabbit Cabriolet:
Pictures of a 1973-1978 GM A-Platform Intermediate Station Wagon owned by a friend of Marc Brown’s son Tolon from the Boarding School in Maine where Marc and Laurie and had sent each of their children to Grade School to; and had transported Tolon, and several of their other friends on a Camping Trip in:
Having Air Conditioning, a Furnace or Baseboard Heaters, a Whole House Fan, the Air Conditioning and Heating units being set to less practical and not very cost-efficient temperatures, and going out to eat at Sit-Down Restaurants are a some more luxuries necessary in order to have a good life.

EPSON MFP image

Note that this picture is of an RV Ventilation Fan. But in a permanent, traditional House; a Whole House Fan is just as much of a necessity to live a good life as a 12-Volt Ventilator Fan is in an RV A Recreational Vehicle (RV) such as a Motorhome or a 1-Ton Dual Rear Wheel Pickup Truck and a Fifth-Wheel Trailer are also more luxuries necessary in order to have a good life, so that you can have your own place to stay, environment, and surroundings wherever you travel to, and you don’t have to stay in a Hotel, someone else’s home (including a Bed and Breakfast, or a Rental Home sanctioned by these newfangled rental property brokers such as Air B&B and VRBO.
Moreover, the Stripped Chassis, Cutaway Chassis, and Chassis & Cab is the most important aspect of any Motorhome, likewise to the Cargo Van of any Conversion Van and Class B Motorhome, the Stripped Chassis, Chassis & Cowl, and Cutaway Chassis of any School Bus; and the Chassis & Cab of any Commercial Truck.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA A Tractor with a Mower Attachment is not only necessary to live a good life. it is also necessary to care and maintain all of the acreage that is necessary to live on in order to have a good life; and it takes the place of a street-legal Automobile with regards to learning to drive, and driving for emotional purposes on all of that property; because the nature of this type of Tractor is closer to an Automobile than a Riding Mower, a Lawn Tractor, a Garden Tractor, and a Zero-Turn Mower.

Longtime Menard’s spokesperson Ray Szamnda, who was of mixed German, Polish, and Norwegian descent; was not only a morally decent person before his passing in May, 2018; but Ray Szmanda, at one time; had also run a Radio and Television Broadcasting School from 1959-1978 titled the “Trans-American School of Broadcasting”, and Ray Szmanda was also a Ham Radio Operator.
Ray Szmanda’s Ham Callsign was KB9JPB. According to the FCC’s Amateur Radio License Database, Ray Szmanda’s Amateur Radio License was active for 10 years; from May, 1995 to May, 2005. Ray Szmanda’s Amateur Radio license was ultimately deleted in May, 2007.

http://wp.rac.ca/distracted-driving-in-canada-an-update-de…/ For immediate release: December 15, 2017 Distracted driving regulations continue to be an area of interest for many Canadian Radio Amateurs. These regulations are made and enforced by provincial governments and can vary considerably from province to province and over time. I’ve never cared for Jerry Springer’s Talk Show once it became a Trash Talk Show beginning in 1993.
I’ve only liked Jerry Springer’s Talk Show when it was a normal Talk Show, beginning with when it was a locally-produced, in-house Television Show at Crosley/AVCO/Multimedia Incorporated’s Television Station in Cincinnati WLWT-TV (a pioneering Television Station dating back to the early years of Television in 1946, when Crosley had put it on the air as Experimental Television Station W8XCT), and during the years 1991-1992 when Jerry Springer’s Talk Show had mimicked Phil Donahue and Oprah Winfrey’s Talk Show, and was centered mostly around Politics, Political Figures, and Social Issues such as Gun Control, Homelessness, and the Social effects of Rock and Hip Hop Music.
Jerry Springer has always been ‘better than that’ as the saying goes, with regards to hosting a Trash Talk Show, especially considering the fact that he had been a Politician, and then a News Anchor at WLWT-TV prior to his Talk Show becoming a Trash Talk Show.

Why an essay about a radio station in Sweden? Grimeton is an early longwave radio station built in the early 1920’s, that has been preserved as a historical site. It’s the only remaining example of an early electro-mechanical VLF-Transmitter. It is still in operational condition, and usually sends out messages twice a year: On Alexander […]
