I am very concerned about Tony Stewart being in an intimate relationship with a woman; and him potentially and finally getting a married, having children; and staring a family just like so many of the modern NASCAR drivers.
Getting married, having children; and starting a family has already changed fellow NASCAR drivers Clint Bowyer and Greg Biffle for the worse.
Cars should always come first for Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer; and Greg Biffle. Cars should eternally be Greg Biffle, Tony Stewart; and Clint Bowyer’s “wife and children”.
Cars are my “wife, children; and pets” just like Jay Leno, currently Tony Stewart, and Clint Bowyer and Greg Biffle before they had gotten married, had children; and started families.
I can’t believe that Tony Stewart had actually fallen for how Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Casey Mears, Indy Car driver James Hinchcliffe; and Formula 1 drivers Nick Heidfeld and Jenson Button are all sordid Basketball guys.
I personally do not like modern NASCAR driver Brian Vickers having worn a spikey, gelled haircut during the mid-2000’s, then a Crewcut or a Buzzcut haircut with a bumper (‘bumper’ being a hairstyling term for a short man’s haircut with the bangs glued upward by the way of a hair styling product) during the late 2000’s and the early 2010’s, and since the mid 2010’s-some ridiculous combover or Undercut-type haircut just like many of the other young lads the world over who don’t have a clue.
Like many other modern NASCAR drivers, Brian Vickers should be barred from dressing to the nines.
Brian Vickers should be forced to listen to Adult Contemporary, Jazz, and Easy Listening music; and Brian Vickers needs to comprehend that the automotive world-including and especially Full-Size Station Wagons and School Buses, the world of amateur/ham radio; and the engineering side of commercial radio and television are all more important than the world of sports and fitness.
A magazine cover that definitely illustrates not only how much of a juvenile delinquent Dale Earnhardt Jr. was and seemingly still is, but also how both Brian Vickers and Kasey Kahne are sordid Basketball guys.
I find it hard to comprehend that Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s disreputable son Dale Earnhardt Jr. would be the Executive Producer of the television show on the History cable channel titled: “The Cars That Made America”.
I would assist Dale Earnhardt Sr. in straightening out his son Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Dale Jr. should be forced to listen to Adult Contemporary, Jazz; and Easy Listening music.
Dale Jr. should have also been barred from getting different haircuts from time to time in years’ past.
Last, Dale Jr. should also comprehend that the Nissan Fairlady Z, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, Volkswagen Sirocco/Corrado, Audi TT, R129 Mercedes-Benz SL, Porsche 911, Porsche 928; and the Porsche 924/944/968 are all better Sports Cars than the Camaro/Firebird, and many generations of the Corvette with the exception of the C4.
I do not approve of General Motors soliciting the Camaro-what has been an awful Sports Car since its introduction in 1967 when compared to the Nissan Fairlady Z, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, Volkswagen Sirocco/Corrado; and the Audi TT; being solicited by General Motors as the model it will field in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series starting with the 2018 season.
General Motors should instead solicit the Malibu as the model that it fields in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, just like how Toyota solicits its competitor-the XV70 Camry as the model it fields in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series; and Ford solicits the Fusion/Mondeo as the model that it fields in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series.
Further examples of how modern NASCAR drivers and pit crew members should NOT be athletic and should be as unathletic and should also be car-loving people like drivers during the 1970’s, 1980’s, and the early-mid 1990’s:
I don’t believe that Powell Crosley’s crown jewel-WLW-AM in Cincinnati, Ohio; would want to interview Hockey Player turned NASCAR driver Michael Annett.
Maybe someone really ought to teach Michael Annett about not only how much more important the history of WLW-AM and the Bethany Shortwave transmitter site are than icky, yucky Ice Hockey and the world of sports and fitness as a whole; but also how much more important the worlds of amateur/ham radio and commercial radio and television as wholes are than the world of sports and fitness.
For as much as I like the history of the Toyota Motor Corporation, the engines that they design and produce; and their products such as the Supra, Crown, HiAce; and the Land Cruiser, to name a few; though I am still loyal to the Detroit 3 automakers of the United States, I have never been happy with Toyota’s involvement with NASCAR that has been present coincidentally with the modernization of NASCAR that has taken place since the beginning of the 21st Century.
An article about Toyota’s ridiculous involvement in NASCAR:
WJLB-FM, along with it’s sister station WJLB-AM; were owned by Booth American Company from when John Lord Booth had purchased the AM station in 1939 as WMBC-AM (the call letters had stood for Michigan Broadcast Company) and had changed the call letters to WJLB-AM to stand for Mr. Booth’s initials; and the FM station, which can be traced back to the year 1940 when Mr. Booth had applied for a license to operate a station on the newly allocated FM band
WJLB-AM was best-known for being the home of Martha Jean “The Queen” Steinberg, who had arrived at the AM station after having spent the past 3 years at WCHB-AM after having in turn, arrived there in 1963 from having worked many years prior at WDIA-AM in Memphis, Tennessee (since 1954, to be exact). At the time Ms. Steinberg had arrived at WCHB-AM in 1963, she had just divorced her husband Luther Steinberg and she had taken her 3 daughters to Detroit with her.
In 1941, John Lord Booth had put on the air experimental station W49D; the second FM station in the entire state of Michigan after crosstown rival The Detroit News had put APEX radio station W8XWJ (which later became W45D, WENA-FM; and by 1948-WWJ-FM). W49D was later granted commercial service in 1945, assigned to operate on 94.5 KHz and was also assigned call letters WLOU-FM, was assigned to operate on 97.9 KHz with the call letters WJLB-FM for the first time around, was assigned the call letters WBRI-FM sometime in the 1950’s, was assigned the WMZK-FM call letters sometime in the early 1960’s with an Ethnic format, and last; had swapped call letters and formats with WJLB-AM in 1980.
When Booth Broadcasting had swapped the formats of both their AM and FM stations in 1980, they had dropped Martha Jean Steinberg’s radio show in the process; leaving Ms. Steinberg without a radio home for 2 years until she would eventually purchase WMZK-AM outright from Booth Broadcasting in 1982, and change the call letters to WQBH-AM/
The call letters WQBH stand for two things: The Queen Broadcasts Here and Welcome Queen Back Home, in reference to “The Queen” being Martha Jean Steinberg’s nickname.
Booth Broadcasting would merge with another company called Broadcast Alchemy to form a newly merged company called Secret Communications, which would be very short lived as just a few months following the merger, the Booth family would sell their only station by this time-WJLB-FM to Chancellor Media in 1994. Chancellor would eventually be folded into Clear Channel Communications.
The Booth family had also owned a number of newspapers throughout the United States-being the Grand Rapids Press, Flint Journal, Muskegon Chronicle, Kalamazoo Gazette, Saginaw News, Bay City Times Jackson Citizen- Patriot; and the Ann Arbor News.
Last, as previously mentioned; the Booth family had also owned a number of other radio stations throughout the country-being WBBC-AM in Flint, Michigan; WSGW-AM in Saginaw, Michigan; WIBM-AM in Jackson, Michigan; and WJMO-AM/WXEN-FM in Cleveland.
Below are news articles about Martha Jean Steinberg, and when WJLB-AM chiefly became an R&B/Soul-formatted radio station in the late 1960’s:
The commercial below from 1988, with all of the bodybuilding and fitness gurus in this commercial; is concurrent with how much modern NASCAR drivers Jimmie Johnson, Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Casey Mears, Johnny Sauter; and Regan Smith, Indy Car driver James Hinchcliffe; and Formula 1 drivers Nick Heidfeld and Jenson Button all are.
The commercial below drives home the point that the NASCAR, Indy Car, and Formula 1 drivers mentioned above need to be transformed from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight.
As the music that WJLB-FM has played ever since it had swapped formats with WJLB-AM/WMZK-AM in 1980 is the music that Elliott Sadler, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Casey Mears, Johnny Sauter, James Hinchcliffe, Nick Heidfeld; and Johnny Sauter all listen to, this commercial also drives home the point that ALL of the NASCAR, Indy Car, and Formula 1 drivers mentioned above need to be forced to listen to Adult Contemporary, Jazz, and Easy Listenng music.
Until now, I did not know that Indy Car driver Dario Franchitti had a foray into NASCAR during the mid-late 2000’s; as part of NASCAR’s Drive For Diversity program-a program that I feel should have never been put into place.
See this earlier post for more information regarding my opposition to NASCAR’s Drive For Diversity program:
More photos of the awful Buzzcut haircuts and the ridiculous Undercut haircuts that support further evidence that Casey Mears should be barred from wearing either one of these haircuts, and should be instead forced to wear his hair like the boy pictured below:
And as always, Casey Mears should be transformed from being fir and muscular to being fat and overweight; and should be barred from playing icky, yucky Basketball or any other ickly, yucky sport.
Casey Mears should also comprehend that not only is the automotive world as a whole more important and more interesting than the world of sports and fitness, but the world of ham/amateur radio and commercial radio and television as well.
Last, I don’t like Casey Mears being one of the driving forces behind the change and modernization of NASCAR since he began his career in the Winston Cup Series in 2002.
Further evidence that Casey Mears should be barred from playing icky, yucky Basketball or any other ickly, yucky sport; and should also be transformed from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight:
A photo of Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer together during their Dirt Track racing days (or, to the person who is not a racing enthusiast-their pre-NASCAR days).
Even at the earlier time this picture was taken, Kevin Harvick should have been transformed from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight, and should be stripped of all of this athletic abilities.
And even at the time this picture was taken, Kevin Harvick should have comprehended that School Buses, the automotive world as a whole, the world of amateur/ham radio, the world of commercial radio and television; and electric fans are all more important and more interesting than the world of sports and fitness, including icky, yucky Basketball, Baseball, Football, Ice Hockey; and Wrestling.
Also, at this time; Clint Bowyer did not sport that ridiculous Undercut haircut that he now wears, was not into things in decaying condition with the so-called ‘patina’ of which I personally will not tolerate anything in that condition; and Clint Bowyer had the personality of a true car guy at this time.
Last, the man with the curly hair in the red shirt pictured at the far right corner of this picture should have also been transformed from being fit and muscular to being fat and overweight.
The good old days of NASCAR, a better time in NASCAR’s entire history; and the era of NASCAR that yours truly, the owner of this blog hails from.
Talladega Superspeedway’s upcoming NASCAR weekend, May 5-7, will mark a host of key anniversaries at the 2.66-mile mammoth venue. Perhaps the most memorable that are forever etched in Talladega lore are the first days of May 1987 when icons Bill Elliott and Hueytown, Alabama’s own Davey Allison both wrote their names into Talladega Superspeedway’s – and NASCAR’s – record books. /p
