Like How Sister Company Kia Should Build Under License A Mazda B-Series Pickup Truck Instead Of Developing And Building Their Own Tasman Pickup Truck; Hyundai Should Resume Building The Galloper, A License-Built Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun; Instead Of Developing And Building Their Own Crater Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV):
Cheryl “Sheri Lynch” Wardlynch’s Choice: Whether Or Not Embrace Gray Hair.
I, the owner of this very Blog; would appreciate it if Sheri Lynch had any consideration for people such as myself who are Autistic, who don’t like and can’t tolerate change, and don’t want to accept people and the world around them changing.
This includes Sheri Lynch continuing to dye her hair, WBT-FM never, ever changing it’s call letters to WLNK-FM, WBT-FM never adopting the Hot Adult Contemporary format, WBT-FM never adopting “The Link” moniker, Lincoln Financial remaining in the Broadcasting business well into the present day, and long after it had merged with Jefferson-Pilot; and the WBT Radio Stations, and WBTV-TV; in turn, never changing hands several more times ever since Lincoln Financial had exited the Broadcasting business.
I also prefer that Sheri Lynch be mindful of the history of the WBT Stations, and the Broadcasting Division of Jefferson-Standard/Jefferson-Pilot Communications, and her role in it; as chronicled by another Jefferson-Standard/Jefferson-Pilot employee, the late Reno Bailey, on his website BT Memories: https://web.archive.org/web/20220416080601/http://www.btmemories.com/
Moreover, I also prefer that Sheri Lynch be mindful of my fascination (or infatuation, depending on which word you prefer to use) of Full-Size Pickup Trucks, SUVs, and Vans; 1960’s-1990’s Intermediate and Full-Size American Passenger Cars and Coupe Utilities, European vehicles, Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks, School Buses, and Motorhomes; and if Sheri and her husband never owned a General Motors GMX200 Minivan, a Buick Rendezvous, a Pontiac Aztek, any Minivan that the Chrysler Corporation and its successors have ever designed and built, any generation of the unique to the North American market Toyota Sienna (XL10, XL20, XL30, and the XL40); the RA Honda Odyssey, the unique to the North American market RL1, RL3/4, RL5, and RL6 Honda Odysseys, or the KV-II, VQ, YP, and KA4 Kia Minivans (including the badge-engineered Hyundai Entourage).
Instead, I prefer that Sheri Lynch and her husband own a Full-Size Pickup Truck, SUV, or Van; a Chevrolet Astro/GMC Safari, a Ford Aerostar, a T4 Volkswagen Transporter/EuroVan, a Volkswagen I.D Buzz, a R20/R30 Toyota MasterAce/Tarago/VanWagon, or an XR10/XR20 Toyota Estima/Previa; if she and her husband traveled in a Motorhome any longer, or if Sheri and her husband owned a 1-Ton Dual Rear-Wheel “Dually” Pickup Truck and a Fifth-Wheel RV Trailer, and traveled that way; instead of cruising around traveling in their Minivan.
I, The Owner Of This Very Blog; Am Personally Not Happy About General Motors Forming A Joint Venture With The Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group.
The Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group should be re-forming alliances with Mitsubishi Motors and Mazda; whose engines and vehicles Hyundai and Kia had built under license from the 1970’s up until the early 2000’s; not with General Motors.
Kia’s Newest Pickup Truck/Ute/Bakkie, Called The Tasman Has Styling That I, Personally Have To Say Is Butt Ugly.
Kia Might As Well Just Build A Mazda Proceed/B-Series Pickup Truck/Ute/Bakkie Under License, Since Early Kia Products Were To Mazda What The Zastava/Yugo Koral Was To Fiat.
Then again, the NB Kia Sportage utilized parts from the UF Mazda Proceed/B-Series and the SS/SE Mazda Bongo.
Even Mazda, as of the time of writing this post; is relying on Isuzu to provide them with a badge-engineered version of the Faster/D-Max Pickup Truck, rather than Mazda developing their own Pickup Truck; or relying on Ford to provide them with a badge-engineered Pickup Truck any longer.
I am saddened by the recent death (as of the time of writing this post) of French Actor Alain Delon.
In the early 1980’s, when the Mazda Motor Corporation had put into production the GC Capella/626, and their the Oceanic business arm of their then-partner, the Ford Motor Company; had simultaneously put their version of the GC Capella into production, the AR/AS Ford Telstar; Alain Delon had appeared in Television Commercials for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) version of the GC Capella, with songs by Japanese Musical Artist Akira Fuse, and Canadian Music Artist Vicki Moss (famous for at one time; dating and courting NHL Player Wayne Gretzky) used in the Audio of these Television Commercials starring Alain Delon:
In the late 1980’s, Mazda’s then-Korean partner Asia/Kia Motors had begun to build under license the GC Mazda Capella as the Kia Concord and Capital models; even as Mazda and Ford, themselves were in the process of halting production of the GC Capella and AR/AS Telstar, and putting into production the following generation GD/GV Capella/626, the AV/AV Telstar, and their platform mate that has largely been reengineered by Ford; in order to pass as a nearly indigenous product of the Ford Motor Company: the Ford Probe.
Kia would continue to build their license-built version of the GC Mazda Capella that they called their Capital and Concord models until 1996; when they would begin to build under license a version of the contemporaneous GE Mazda Capella/626 and the AX/AY Ford Telstar; that Kia would call their Credos model.
Kia would continue to build the Credos through the time they had filed for bankruptcy in 1998, would be acquired by the fellow Korean automaker, the Hyundai Motor Company after outbidding the Ford Motor Company for acquiring Kia outright, would receive a mid-cycle refresh in 1999; and would be discontinued altogether in 2001; as Kia was in the process of ending their relationship with Mazda, and the Hyundai Motor Company was in the process of ending their relationship with Mitsubishi Motors as of this time.
