I personally consider the One Ford Plan to be a saving grace on my part, with every Ford being manufactured and sold the world over to emulate their Volkswagen, Renault, Citroen, and Peugeot contemporaries; and to be of a European design, no matter where in the world they are sold and manufactured from that point forward.
This means that any Ford product from this point forward will actually be a European vehicle and not a traditional American vehicle in the normal sense.
The Fiesta mimics the Volkswagen Polo, the standard Focus hatchback mimics the standard Golf, the Focus ST mimics the GTI, the Focus RS mimics the Golf G60, R, and R32 models; the Focus sedan mimics the Jetta, the Fusion/Mondeo mimics the Passat, the C-Max mimics the Touran, the S-Max and Galaxy mimics the Sharan and it’s SEAT sibling, the Escape/Kuga mimics the Tiguan, the current-generation Ford Edge mimics what it would be like if Volkswagen had produced a CUV on the Passat platform, the Transit Connect mimics the Volkswagen Caddy and the Fiat Doblo/RAM ProMaster City, the front wheel drive Full-Size Transit mimics the Transporter/EuroVan; and the Lincoln MKZ, MKX; and MKC mimic their Audi contemporaries.
I am happy that Ford will begin to market the Fiesta-based EcoSport B-Segment SUV in the North American market. And it mimics a Polo-based B-Segment SUV that Volkswagen has in their pipeline.
And like many other current and future-generation Ford products, the EcoSport is purely European in nature.
Ford today introduces the all-new EcoSport for North America for those who want space-saving convenience and SUV capability.

This is a very neat method as to how the Ford Motor Company recycles it’s clay scraps from it’s current clay models into blocks of recycled clay for use on future clay models.
Modeling clay is a favorite of many children, who can craft, re-craft and recycle the pliable stuff over many years. While a bit more advanced, Ford has employed a similar idea with the clay it uses to model future vehicles: craft, re-craft and then recycle, the latter to the tune of nearly 5,000 pounds of clay each year.
Tenevoorde Ford; one of the oldest operating Ford dealerships in the entire country; has been in business since 1901 and has sold Ford Medium & Heavy-Duty trucks and has serviced the Ford B-Series chassis & cowl prior to Ford having sold off this business division to Daimler/Freightliner to become Sterling in 1996.

There’s another Ford dealer that’s been operating continuously in Natchitoches, Louisiana since 1905-simply titled Natchitoches Ford-Lincoln.
As the name implies, the dealership also sells Lincolns; and when the Mercury brand was still in existance, this dealership also carried Mercuries under one roof at the same location as well.
I’m not sure if this dealership, at any point in time; has sold Ford Medium & Heavy-Duty trucks and serviced the Ford B-Series chassis & cowl.
As the dealership had expanded over the years, with the dealership’s original building still in place; the dealership has also taken over adjoining buildings-such as a food store, and converted these adjoining buildings into one larger dealership.
Inside the showroom, there is a Ford Model T that was purchased new at this dealership in it’s day, and many, many years later; had been reacquired by this dealership to be put on display inside their showroom.
Fleets and tradespeople around the world are increasingly turning to Ford vans to get the job done, making the Ford Transit family the best-selling lineup of cargo vans on the planet.
Ford trucks earned top honors at the Texas Auto Writers Association’s 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo, with the all-new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty being named “Truck of Texas,” the most prestigious award given at the 23rd annual competition.
A Mexican market Volkswagen Type 1 (built in Puebla, Mexico by Mexicans for the Mexican market long after production had ended in Europe up until 2003), and a Ford EcoSport; a B-Segemt SUV on the Ford Fiesta platform and is a direct competitor to the Jeep Renegade, Chevrolet Trax, Opel Mokka/Buick Encore; and Renault, Puegeor; and Citroen B-Segment SUVs; located in Cancun, Mexico.
One of my favorite generations of Passat-the B3 as the wagon/estate variant, and a Ford Cargo Medium-Duty truck both located in Belgorod, Russia.
The Ford Cargo was jointly developed by Iveco, and in the United States; it had supplanted the Ford C-Series cabover model that was produced from 1957-1990.
Located next door to these vehicles is a very typical version that you would find in any rural Russian or Ukrainian village-an elderly woman wearing a head scarf doing work outside of her home.
A Ford L-Series Class 7 Tandem-Axle truck with a flatbed body with a boom crane attached to it located in Crib Point, Victoria, Australia.
Over the years the L-Series has been in production, the Ford Motor Company did export some Class 7 & 8 L-Series models to Australia, and local distribution had been had been handled by Ford’s Australian arm.
Photo of a Ford C-Series cabover Medium-Duty truck that was produced from 1957-1990.
The C-Series was available with the 401, 477, and 534 cubic inch Super Duty V8 gasoline engines, the FT 331 and 391 cubic inch V8 gasoline engines, the 385 architecture 370 and 429 cubic inch V8 gasoline engines; and a 4-cylinder diesel engine that was produced by Ford’s European subsidiary for their tractors that were built in the Basildon, England plant; and for the Thames Trader Medium-Duty truck that was manufactured by Ford’s UK subsidiary from 1957-1965.
A Ford F-700 Medium-Duty truck with a cherry picker body located in Hazel Park, Michigan.
Ford always has and always will be my favorite manufacturer of Medium & Heavy-Duty trucks, and it’s one of my favorite manufacturers of School Bus chassis & cowl.
An N110 Toyota HiLux parked in front of one of the pensions that Rick Steves had covered in his guidebooks and on his television show-the Pension Nova Silva.
Parked directly across the street from the Pension Nova Silva and the N110 HiLux are a 1st generation Mondeo Estate/Station Wagon and a 2nd generation Ford Transit.
