An Organization Based In Austria That Is Dedicated To The One-Time Austrian Subsidiary Of What Would Later Become Daimler-Benz AG, That Ferdinand Porsche Had Worked For; Prior To Founding His Own Company, And Volkswagen: Called Austro-Daimler.
In 1934, Austro-Daimler would merge with another Austrian automaker (also a manufacturer of Trucks and Farm Tractors), Steyr. The following year, in 1935; the merged Austro-Daimler-Steyr would merge with Austrian Automobile and Motorcycle manufacturer Puch; resulting in the further amalgamated company being known as Steyr-Daimler-Puch from that point forward.
