A relative of mine, who once sold Real Estate; among whose clients were Jerry Chiappetta and his second wife Rita, who had listed their House in the Detroit area in Michigan for sale; and living full-time at their residence in Florida at that point forward, had once shown us a Desk in his possession that once belonged to an ABC Executive, had later wound up at the WXYZ Broadcast House at 20777 West Ten Mile Road in the Detroit suburb of Southfield, Michigan; and ultimately wound up in the possession of Jerry Chiappetta.
The Furniture Branch Of The Discount Department Store Chain, Value City; Founded By The Schottenstein Family; Running Stupid Commercials Insulting The Proper Styles Of Furniture From The 1980’s And The Early 1990’s, Starring Young, Radical People; And Also Includes A Cheesy Cover Of Cher’s 1989 Song (Single) “If I Could Turn Back Time”.
One has to ask the question: why would the Schottenstein family (of Lithuanian-Jewish ancestry); founders of the Value City Discount Department Store chain, and current operators of Schottenstein Stores; would commission the production of such a stupid Television Commercial, and pay Media Representative Agencies to broker this Television Commercial to Television Stations and Cable Channels throughout the United States.
I had a strange dream in my sleep the night prior to writing this very post, pertaining to the ABC Television Program “Growing Pains”; which ran from 1985-1992.
For one thing, this dream consisted of Shari Lewis (a personal friend of Alan Thicke, who played the father on this Television Sitcom); and her puppets and sidekicks: Lamb Chop, Hush Puppy, and Charlie Horse each making guest appearances on this Television Sitcom.
Another thing, the characters who are the sons (portrayed by Actors Kirk Cameron and Jeremy Miller), are playing the (icky, yucky) Sport of Basketball; and while sweaty and full of body odor after playing the (icky, yucky) Sport of Basketball, someone bathes them by washing them down with a Power Washer/Pressure Washer in a manner similar to a non-human Animal, an Automobile, a Medium-Duty or Heavy-Duty Truck, a Bus, an RV; or a piece of machinery such as a Tractor, a Bulldozer, or a Lawn Mower.
The only thing that matters the most is that as this Television Show was networked by ABC Television, it would have passed through the transmitters of ABC’s owned and operated Television Stations: WXYZ-TV in Detroit, WABC-TV in New York City, KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WLS-TV in Chicago, and KGO-TV in San Francisco.
It would have also passed through the transmitters of ABC Television affiliates such as WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York; WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina after owner Cox Broadcasting had switched it from being an NBC Television affiliate to an ABC Television affiliate in 1978; and Cox’s flagship Television Station WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia after Cox had switched that Station from being an NBC Television affiliate to an ABC Television affiliate in 1980.
I, the owner of this very Blog; do not like, and can not tolerate one of the two Commercial Airports serving the vicinity of Los Angeles, California; Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) capitalizing on modern Airliner travel and young, radical patrons rather than focusing on it’s illustrious past.
The original portion of Los Angeles International Airport being built in 1928 in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Westchester, originally as Mines Field; on what are now the corners of Imperial Highway and Aviation Boulevard, construction on Hangar Number One consisting of Spanish Mission-style Architecture being completed a year later in 1929, was renamed Los Angeles Municipal Airport in June, 1930; the Airport Designation Code of this Airport being changed from ‘LA’ to ‘LAX’ in 1946 as a result of the skyrocketing increase in Air Travel following WWII, the “temporary” terminals that were constructed immediately following WWII and were put to use in December, 1946; being given it’s current name ‘Los Angeles International Airport’ in 1949, construction on this Airport’s first Jet Age Terminals being completed by 1961, the second-level roadway being added by 1983 in anticipation of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games that were held in Los Angeles, the construction of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (named for the onetime Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Tom Bradley) being complete by June, 1984; and the Playa del Rey and Palisades del Rey subdivisions on the west of what would come to be the property of the ever-expanding Airport that had consisted of beautiful modest Homes and Mansions that were built in the 1920’s, and were leveled entirely by the way of the City of Los Angeles exercising eminent domain in the 1970’s, only for the City of Los Angeles; until they decide to build additional Airport Facilities and/or Roads on this land, for the foreseeable future, to utilize this land as a sanctuary for Butterflies; are all more important than Los Angeles International Airport keeping it’s eye on the future, appealing to young, radical patrons, featuring strange Stores such as Hudson Nonstop locations that include humanless operations, cashless, ‘Pay with Card’ operations that open gates to allow patrons to enter these stores; and sensors that monitor items the patron picks up, and simply walks out of the Store with (evoking the action of shoplifting), supposedly charging the patron’s Charge Card in the process-all courtesy of the Internet Retailer Amazon; and also featuring strange eateries such as the so-called “Built Custom Burger” instead of, say; additional McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and Chick-Fil-A locations in additional Terminals throughout this Airport.

I, personally prefer heavier 36 and 48 Passenger Type C Conventional-style School Buses, and 48 Passenger Type D Front Engine Transit-style School Buses over lighter-duty Type B Buses built atop the General Motors/Workhorse P-Chassis; and Type A Cutaway School Buses built on the General Motors (Chevrolet/GMC) Full-Size Van and Ford Econoline Cutaway Chassis.

The Fact That The Evil Donald Trump Has Just Signed An Executive Order (As Of The Time Of Writing This Post) To Gut The Voice Of America, And Plans To Sign A Similar Executive Order To Gut The Corporation For Public Broadcasting (CPB); The Parent Organization Of PBS And National Public Radio (NPR) Is More Than Despicable.
