I am saddened by the death of Actress Suzanne Somers.
The only performance of Suzanne Somers’ that I like is her role in the Television Sitcom that was networked by ABC from 1977-1981, “Three’s Company”.
I never cared for Suzanne Somers’ role as a mother on a Family-oriented Sitcom that was networked by ABC, and later by CBS from 1991-1998; after ABC was purchased by, and merged into Capital Cities Communications, and the merged ABC/Capital Cities Communications began to focus largely on Family-oriented Sitcoms for their Prime Time Programmimg lineup beginning in the mid-late 1980’s, titled “Step By Step”.
CBS would pick up “Step By Step”, along with the African-American oriented spinoff of another Television Show that was networked by ABC from 1986-1993 titled “Perfect Strangers”, titled “Family Matters” in the Fall of 1997, when ABC decided to refocus its Prime Time lineup, and move on past the Family-oriented Sitcoms.
Suzanne Somers would also have a Cameo in the 1994 Motion Picture “Serial Mom” starring Kathleen Turner and Sam Waterston.
