Employee of the Cable Channel ESPN, and former Ohio State University Baseball Player Kyle Brown had recently passed away (as of the time of writing this post).
Kyle Brown, and CNN employee Phil Mattingly were both teammates on the Ohio State University Baseball Team, close friends; and Kyle Brown was a groomsman at Phil Mattingly’s wedding.
Heaven forbid that Kyle Brown and Phil Mattingly both comprehend how much more important Automobiles, and Amateur/Ham Radio are than Baseball, or any other Sport. Including Kyle Brown having played both Basketball and American Football while in High School in the Town of Washington Court House, Ohio; before choosing to play Baseball at Ohio State University; following a stellar Baseball season during Kyle Brown’s Senior year in High School.
At least, Kyle Brown and Phil Mattingly both comprehended how much more important Commercial Broadcast Radio and Television are than Baseball; or any other Sport.
Two things led to Kyle Brown choosing Broadcasting over playing a Sport professionally, or any other job in the Sports Industry: Kyle Brown’s neighbor while growing up in his childhood home being a Director for the Cable Channel ESPN, and ESPN Sportscaster Dick Vitale (formerly a College Basketball and NBA Coach) coming into town, and Kyle Brown being tasked with chauffeuring Dick Vitale around to wherever he needed and wanted to go around town during the day.
“”When Dick Vitale came into town I was pretty much his chauffeur for the day,” Brown said. “You listen to him on TV and think ‘This guy most drink Red Bull by the gallon,’ but off the air he is one of the most laid back, nicest guys in the world””
