An ID Card for NBC Television affiliate WKY-TV (now KFOR-TV) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Edward K. Gaylord, founder of the Oklahoma Publishing Company (now the Gaylord Broadcasting Company), became fascinated with the nascent medium upon hearing about it in the mid-1930’s; as Television was actually conceived in the late 1920’s.
Edward K. Gaylord developed ambitions of putting his own Television Station on the air. Like many an individual or business who had already owned and operated one or more Radio Stations, Mr. Gaylord’s plans for putting a Television Station on the air were set back by the onset of WWII.
In 1949, Edward Gaylord put WKY-TV on the air as a stepchild of WKY-AM. WKY-AM, in turn; had first gone on the air in January, 1920 as Amateur Station 5QP.
In the Fall of 1921, the call letters were changed to 5XT, and a year later, in 1922; the AM Radio Station was granted the recently minted ‘Commercial’ status, and was assigned the call letters WKY.
WKY-TV was one of the very first Television Stations to transmit its signal in Color, having ordered the RCA Color Equipment as early as the time it first signed on the air in 1949, and actually began transmitting its signal in Color starting in March, 1954.
Around this same time, WWJ-TV (now WDIV-TV) in Detroit also began transmitting its signal in Color. WWJ-TV/WDIV-TV actually had only transmitted NBC Television Network programming beginning in 1954, and actually didn’t begin transmitting its newscasts, and it’s locally-produced, in-house programming until it had acquired the equipment necessary to transmit its local programming in Color in 1960.
I am worried about my parents potentially choosing to stay put in the House in the Detroit suburb of Warren, Michigan that we’ve lived in since September, 1990; and have tried many times to move out of for so many years prior:
I am worried about my parents possibly rekindling their relationships with my mother’s family, relatives of mine that I’ve never liked; relatives of mine that were never ever, ever, ever intended to be in my life; and relatives of mine that I never ever, ever, ever want to have in my life going forward:
I am worried that I could wind up living with my sister and her husband. My sister and I can not get along living together under one roof, as my sister and I have very different personalities; and my sister’s husband is not my cup of tea. If my sister being married makes her happy, that is fine. But my sister’s life and marriage with her husband is not to ever be intertwined with my own life.
In other Universes, my sister’s husband is another child that my mother’s brother Garrett, and his wife Wendy had after their child Andrew “Andy”. Also, in other Universes; they are distantly related to modern NASCAR Driver Matt Kenseth, and his son Ross.

The terrible homes owned by my mother’s parents, as well as those owned by my sister and her husband in this same, equally terrible neighborhood in the Detroit suburb of Warren, Michigan; are as equally terrible as the house that we have attempted to move out of for decades; and I am worried that my parents could elect to stay put there for the rest of their lives:
Moreover, I am worried that my parents could acquire any more Minivans.
Beginning in the mid-late 1990’s, as my parents became cerebral, grew more practical, and and began to set goals and make purchases based on practicality, and not on impulsiveness or for emotional purposes, my parents had adopted, and became infatuated with Minivans.
Spanning a decade and a half and less so as of the time of writing this post; my parents were besotted over a NS Plymouth Voyager, a U-Platform Oldsmobile Silhouette, and the related U-Platform Buick Rendezvous that they’ve owned; a Pontiac Aztek that at one time, they aspired to own; and they were infatuated with a used WIN88 Ford Windstar that they had once acquired and owned for a few years.
My parents were infatuated with Minivans and the related Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUVs) as they were with my mother’s family. So much so, they considered transporting people from my mother’s family in these Minivans and CUVs as one of their ideal ways to spend time as a family. In part and parcel, my mother’s entire family were my parents’ idea of a perfect family.
During the time my parents’ owned their Minivans, they were wholly against Pickup Trucks and Recreational Vehicles (RVs). and they argued that a Minivan is more practical and cost-effective for hauling things than a Pickup Truck with all of its rear seats folded down or removed altogether when compared to a Pickup Truck; that taking long car rides and trips in a Minivan and staying in a Hotel or in a Bed and Breakfast is more practical and cost-effective than owning a Recreational Vehicle (RV), or even a Suburban. a Four-Door Tahoe, and a Full-Size Van that is a Conversion Van; that a Minivan is more practical for transporting a family than the large Station Wagons that were once emotionally important to my parents and remain emotionally important to me, the owner of this very Blog; large. Truck-based SUVs such as a Suburban. a Four-Door Tahoe that were also once emotionally important to my parents and remain emotionally important to yours truly; and Full-Size Conversion Vans, which also remain as important to yours truly as Volkswagen Transporters and Recreational Vehicles (RVs); and a Minivan is also more practical to transport one’s self and one passenger in than a traditional Passenger Car. and any two-row SUV or CUV because of their low step-in height, and inexpensive Insurance Rates.
My parents’ ownership of, and infatuation with Minivans was gruesome for yours truly, the owner of this very Blog; as seen in the photographs below:
Yes, I am worried that instead of having a Pickup Truck any longer; that my parents could replace it with an RU Chrysler Pacifica, an RL6 North American Honda Odyssey, an XL40 Toyota Sienna (a North American market-only vehicle); or a KA4 Kia Carnival.
Most of the time whenever I interact with God, the past that never came to be; and my past that actually happened, come back into being reality.
That is, where my parents and I each own more GM B-Platform Station Wagons, Suburbans, and Volkswagens and Audis, since an earlier time; we’ve moved out of the house in the Detroit suburb of Warren, Michigan where my parents have lived for over 30 years in reality, and into a House within the area of Oakland Township, Lakeville, and Leonard Township, Michigan on acres of property under one roof with my Paternal Grandmother, we are much closer to my father’s family than my mother’s, and we have a Sub-Compact or Compact Tractor, or the very least-a Front Mount Mower that looks like a Sub-Compact Tractor with it’s operating area turned around. and the operator facing the Mower while sitting inversely over the larger-sized Rear Wheels.

This Truck appears to have Aftermarket Wheels and Tires installed on it, which I; personally, do not like. I would rather that this Truck have its stock Wheels, and stock-size Tires.
This Truck also appears to have a Bull Bar installed on the front of it, which I also do not like. I would prefer if this Truck did not have a Bull Bar mounted on the front of it at all.

Murray Feldman and Don Paul had worked together at WJBK-TV, when WJBK-TV was a CBS affiliate; and was owned and operated by Storer Broadcasting.
In 1984, Don Paul had left WJBK-TV to work at WIVB-TV (nee WBEN-TV) in Buffalo, New York. Don Paul had to relocate to Buffalo in order to accept the position at WIVB-TV.
The Buffalo Evening News had sold WIVB-TV around the same time in 1978 as when The Detroit News had traded WWJ-TV for WTOP-TV in Washington D.C, resulting in Post-Newsweek receiving WWJ-TV, and The Detroit News receiving WTOP-TV. Post-Newsweek had subsequently changed the call letters of WWJ-TV to WDIV-TV, and The Detroit News had subsequently changed the call letters of WTOP-TV to WDVM-TV, and even later, to WUSA-TV; after the swap between The Detroit News and Post-Newsweek for their Television Stations had taken place in 1978.
WIVB-TV, ever since being sold by The Buffalo Evening News; has run their News Department similar to how WDIV-TV has run their News Department ever since it was sold by The Detroit News.
Below is a photograph of Murray Feldman, while in either a Hotel Room; or in a Bedroom at somebody’s house upon traveling to the area of Buffalo, New York; pictured in front of a Television set tuned to WIVB-TV, WIVB featuring Don Paul on their Newscast this time around for nostalgic purposes as Don Paul is now retired (as of the time of writing this post), and Murray Feldman acknowledging the fact that at one time, he and Don Paul had worked together at WJBK-TV.
A collage of Don Paul’s career (including Don Paul’s time working at WJBK-TV) fabricated by WIVB-TV in celebration of Don Paul’s retirement from his Full-Time Job as the Chief Meteorologist of WIVB-TV in 2016. As of the time of writing this post, Don Paul still works as a substitute Meteorologist for WIVB-TV.
Apparently, according to Don Paul’s profile on the website LinkedIn; Don Paul had also worked for WKBW-TV as a substitute Meteorologist from 2016-2018:
Also, as I have previously stated in that earlier post; I, personally; find it shameful that Nam June Paik would ruin, molest, and destroy Radio and Television Sets without caring a hang over the all of the time, money, and effort manufacturers such as General Electric, RCA, Westinghouse, Crosley, Motorola, Admiral, the Delco Electronics Division of General Motors, Philco while under the ownership of Ford Motor Company, Sony, National/Panasonic, and Sanyo had each invested in order to bring these Televisions into fruition, and manufacture these Radios and Televisions; just so that Mr. Paik can fabricate his Electronic Artwork.
Nam June Paik was born in July, 1932 in what was at the time during the Japanese occupation of Korea; the City of Keijo, and as of the present day; is the City of Seoul, South Korea. In 1950, during the advent of the Korean War; Paik and his family at first, had fled to Hong Kong, had then resettled in Japan; and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tokyo.
In 1964, Nam June Paik would resettle in the United States, specifically in New York City.
In 1977, Nam June Paik would marry a Japanese woman, Shigeko Kubota; herself an Avant-Garde Artist. Shigeko Kubota was born into an old, noble family of Buddhist Monks; and it is not known if Shigeko Kubota is related to Gonshiro Kubota, the founder of Tractor, Heavy Equipment, and Gasoline/Petrol and Diesel Engine manufacturer Kubota Corporation.
From 1979-1996, Nam June Paik would work at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (English: Art Academy of Düsseldorf) as a Professor. It is not known if Nam June Paik had worked as a Music Professor, or as an Art Professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
Later, Nam June Paik; now emancipated and no longer under the aegis of his parents, had resettled in West Germany in 1957, later moved back to Japan in 1961; where Paik was involved with the Sony Corporation and its newly-developed technologies, such as the Porta-Pak Portable Movie Camera and the affixed Video Recorder.
It is such a shame that Nam June Paik, who has been involved with many of Sony’s Technologies, would be so eager to destroy and molest Radio and Television Sets in order to fabricate his Electronic Artwork.
A Radio Set, and a Television Set are both worth fussing over as a Human Being, or any other living organism, and not as a trivial, disposable item. The History, Present-Day Operations, and the Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of a Radio Station, and a Television Station are also worth fussing over as much as Radios and Televisions, themselves.
Nam June Paik would pass away in Miami, Florida in 2006; and his wife Shigeko Kubota would pass away in New York City in 2015.
Descendants of Nam June Paik and Shigeko Kubota include the Korean musical artist of the strange genres Hip-Hop and Korean “K-Pop” Music And Japanese “J-Pop” Music by the name of Kim Jin-Woo (Stage Name: Jinu), and Inventor and Television Personality Kenjiro “Ken” Paik-Kun-Hakuta.
German Jazz Musician Peter Brötzmann, who was born in 1941 in Remscheid, Germany; when Germany was still ruled by the Nazi regime, and WWII had just begun in full force; with the United States and other Allied powers beginning to get involved; had recently passed away (as of the time of writing this post).
Peter Brötzmann had once worked as an assistant for Korean Electronic Artist Nam June Paik (who was known for ruining, molesting, and destroying Radio and Television Sets in order to fabricate his Electronic Artwork).
I, personally; find it shameful that Nam June Paik would ruin, molest, and destroy Radio and Television Sets without caring a hang over the all of the time, money, and effort manufacturers such as General Electric, RCA, Westinghouse, Crosley, Motorola, Admiral, the Delco Electronics Division of General Motors, Philco while under the ownership of Ford Motor Company, Sony, National/Panasonic, and Sanyo had each invested in order to bring these Televisions into fruition, and manufacture these Radios and Televisions; just to that Mr. Paik can fabricate his Electronic Artwork.
One of Peter Brötzmann’s fans was, and still is Bill Clinton; one of the favorite Presidents of the United States of yours truly, the owner of this very Blog.
