My paternal grandfather was actually friends with this man during their youth in Poland.
When this man had served as the Archbishop of Krakow, and as the news media the world over had covered him as the Archbishop of Krakow, prior to his election as Pope; my paternal grandfather had stated “he is a great man, and would make a wonderful Pope”.
