If you’ve been following this blog for a while, it has been a while (at the time of writing this post) since I’ve written any post pertaining to Rick Steves.

On New Years Day, January, 1, 2020; Rick’s longtime friend Walter Mittler, who he had known since his student backpacking days in the 1970’s; had passed away.

Like Rick, I find it sad that yet another one of Rick’s longtime European friends has passed away often on since the year 2000.
