The New Year (As Of The Time Of Writing This Post), And The New Decade That We’ve Entered

As the New Year that we’ve entered is 11 days old (as of the time of writing this post); and as we’ve entered a new decade-the 2020’s, I must say that I feel that we’ve entered a whole nother universe with our entrance into this new decade, the second of the 21st Century.

I am not ready to accept that by now, the 1960’s are six decades ago, the 1970’s five, the 1980’s four, the 1990’s three, and the 2000’s two.

I am very well used to the 1970’s, 1980’s, and 1990’s being a decade, or two, or three ago. I can also remember when human beings and establishments who were born or established in the early 1960’s had turned 30 by the early 1990’s (for instance, a human being or an establishment that was born or established in 1962 had turned 30 by 1992).

Another example is that I am not ready to accept one of my favorite modern NASCAR drivers who are one of the few who are left that are car guys at heart, and a driver who wishes that NASCAR would still hold onto its old ways to this very day-Tony Stewart, will be turning 50 come 2021.

I am still used to Tony Stewart being 20, 30, or 40 something.

Another example, is while this may be 6 years away (as of the time of writing this post); I don’t consider myself ready to experience the United States of America celebrating the 250th anniversary of its founding as an independent republic, and when the Declaration of Independence had been drafted and adopted. I am still very used to when this nation had celebrated its 200th anniversary in 1976.

This is why it is of paramount importance to me that the Arthur movie for adults be made in the near future, to keep the 1970’s, 1980’s, and the early 1990’s alive forevermore before it is too late, and each of these decades and eras have faded away along the lines of happenings that have occurred in the 1800’s, per se.

Those of you who have been following this blog for a while know very well that the 1970’s, 1980’s, and the early 1990’s are very important times to me.

Besides the Arthur movie for adults being made, only time travel maybe ever becoming possible at any point during my lifetime will save my sanity by allowing myself to travel back to the 1980’s and the early 1990’s.
