As the parent and originator TV Station, WLS-TV was and still is owned and operated by ABC, all of ABC’s other owned and operated TV stations had also aired Oprah Winfrey’s Talk Show after it became nationally-syndicated. WXYZ-TV, even after ABC had sold it to Scripps-Howard, had continued to air the nationally-syndicated Oprah Winfrey show right up until its ending in 2011.
