An E100 Toyota Sprinter badge-engineered by General Motors as the Geo Prizm as a result of the joint venture that General Motors once had with Toyota-where both companies would each own a stake in the New United Manufacturing Motors (NUMMI) plant in Fremont, California (now owned by Tesla Motors as their main manufacturing plant) and both companies would produce their own versions of the Corolla/Sprinter for the United States, while Canadian-spec Corollas would be produced at Toyota’s plant in Cambridge, Ontario.
The joint venture between General Motors and Toyota Motor Corporation had also produced at the NUMMI plant the preceding E90 generation of Corolla/Sprinter as the coequally named Chevrolet Nova, the succeeding E110 generation as the Chevrolet Prizm as General Motors management had just decided to axe the Geo sub-brand and sell all Geo models as Chevrolets from the time the U.S spec E110 Corolla/Sprinter had gone into production at NUMMI, forward; and E120 Toyota Matrix (a variation of the E120 Corolla Station Wagon) and the GM in-house styled Pontiac Vibe; and the E140 Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe before Toyota-by then, having overtaken General Motors as the #1 automaker in the entire world, General Motors had fallen onto hard times as their old ways consisting of excessive overhead would no longer cut it in a world of Asian automakers posing as major threats to the future of the American automotive industry; and the economy of the United States as a whole would fall on its hardest of times ever since the Great Depression of the late 1920’s and early-mid 1930’s; would result in General Motors and Toyota dissolving the joint venture that both companies had in place since 1984, Toyota being left as the sole owner of the NUMMI plant in Fremont, California; and Toyota eventually selling the plant to the upstart automobile manufacturer Tesla Motors.
During the sole ownership of the plant by General Motors from its completion upon construction in 1960, up until GM had mothballed the plant in 1982 prior to the joint venture taking place; this California plant had employed the absolute worst workforce in the entire automotive industry-where employees had consumed alcoholic beverages while on the job, were frequently absent to the point where the production line often couldn’t be started, and even committed petty acts of sabotage such as putting beer bottles inside the door panels, so they’d rattle and annoy the customer/end user of the car. Be that as it may, General Motors had originally built this plant in California of all places, and hired despicable and unreliable employees to work at this plant so that quantity could take priority over the quality of the vehicles assembled at this plant-meaning more cars readily available on dealers’ lot for consumers all across the country to choose from, lessening the need for the consumer to either order the vehicle with the specific options, exterior colors, and interior colors they desire; or to do a dealer-trade on a specific vehicle.

The current superintendent of the Warren Consolidated Schools public school district serving the Detroit suburbs of Warren, Sterling Heights, and Troy, Michigan; by the name of Dr. Robert D. Livernois, needs to comprehend that a student’s regular, daily attendance at school is NOT at all important, and nor is a student’s health and diet, personal social and family skills, doing whatever the parents and staff members tell a student to do without a student having any say in the matter; and also a student being prepared for life once his or her parents are deceased.
Dr. Robert D. Livernois also needs to comprehend that School Buses themselves, that the chassis that the School Bus is on, the engine and transmission that the School Bus has, and the history of the School Bus body manufacturer are all more important than why School Buses exist in the first place and the job that they are expected to do, most public school districts across the United States hiring lousy drivers for the past decade and a half (as of the time of writing this post), to grant the driver the right to mishandle the bus and not take care of it, to decorate the inside of the School Bus, and to listen to the AM/FM radio that the bus may be equipped with; and the student being expected of nothing more than to be grateful that they are being transported to school regardless of who the driver may be, the manufacturer of the School Bus chassis, body, engine, and transmission; the age of the School Bus that may be assigned the route, and the student may either tolerate the particular driver assigned to the School Bus route or else the student may no longer ride the School Bus. Blue Bird having entered the RV business in 1963 with the Wanderlodge motorhome is also more important than why School Buses exist in the first place and the job that they are expected to do.
Dr. Robert D. Livernois should take into account that if I ever held a position such as the Director of Transportation or as a sub-contracted School Bus Purchasing Consultant, that I would undoubtedly order the buses without any AM/FM Radio, and just the PA system for the driver to amplify his or her voice throughout the interior of the bus; and that I would order Blue Bird, Thomas, and Carpenter Conventionals on the Ford B-Series (with the 361, 391, 370, or 429 Gasoline engines or the Caterpillar 3208 or Brazilian-built New Holland 6.6 and 7.8 liter Diesel Engines) and International S-Series and 3800 (with the 392, MV401, and MV446 Gasoline engines and the 9.0 liter V8, DT360, and DT466 Diesel Engines) chassis & cowls.
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that part of the story of the Arthur movie geared towards adults is about if I, personally ever held the position as a Director of Transportation of a public school district; and I would ensure that no lowlife people are employed as School Bus Drivers, and impose very strict rules for my drivers to follow.
Furthermore, Dr. Robert D. Livernois needs to comprehend that a student viewing his or her parents, teachers and other school staff members as friend figures and not as combination authority figures/professional colleagues, as well as teachers and other staff members being present at the workplace-the school or other facility owned and operated by the public school district-such as the Transportation and Maintenance Departments and the Administration Building; all being there for a reason none other than to do a job; are all more important than parents teaching their children social norms by the book written about social norms; as well as teachers assuming that their students’ parents are doing a magnificent job of teaching their children about social norms.
That includes parents teaching their children to love and respect their closest extended family members-such as aunts, uncles, grandparents, and first cousins; whether the kid(s) like them or not; and to deliver the same amount of respect for the extended family members that the kid(s) may not like as they would to the staff members at their school who are also in their lives.
