My, My Do I Continue To Have These Reveries; This Time-In A Newmar Ventana With My Paternal Grandmother, Marie “Mimi”; And Her Daughter Mary Ann

My, my do I continue to have these reveries of traveling in a motorhome with my paternal grandmother, Marie “Mimi”; and her daughter Mary Ann; this time, in a Newmar Ventana-Newmar’s middle-of-the-road mainstream diesel pusher that competes with the Winnebago Journey and the Tiffin Phaeton.

This Newmar Ventana (not the Ventana LE, which competes with the Winnebago Forza and the Tiffin Allegro RED) is on a Freightliner XCR chassis with a tag axle, is powered by an awful Cummins diesel engine, is in the floorplan 4046 (which includes a standalone vanity in the center of the rear bedroom), the Lagoon Full-Body Paint Exterior Color, the Muslin interior décor; and the wood choice being Bermuda Glazed Maple.

This is a 40 foot coach on a chassis with a tag axle. Yes, you heard right-a 40 foot coach with a tag axle for the first time since the mid 1990’s. Even my Blue Bird coaches were produced as 40 footers on Blue Bird’s proprietary chassis with a tag axle up until about 2000.

After my paternal grandmother and I retrieve Marie “Mimi” and her daughter Mary Ann in Vermont, we travel to the infield campground at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Atlanta suburb of Hampton, Georgia; the Great Oak RV Resort in Kissimee, Florida; the infield campground at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the Miami suburb of Homestead, Florida; the Lone Oak RV Park in Palmetto, Florida; the River’s Edge RV Campground in the town of Holt, Florida (located in the Florida panhandle), and to the Oklahoma City East KOA location.
