As I have written in the earlier post linked below, I am very happy that the CBS Television Network has resurrected the sitcom titled “Murphy Brown” with Candice Bergen reprising her role as the television program’s main character, Joe Regalbuto reprising his role as Investigative Reporter Frank Fontana, Grant Shaud reprising his role as Producer Miles Silverburg, and Faith Ford reprising her role as Corky Sherwood.
The ABC Television Network Cancelling The Revised Iteration Of Roseanne Barr’s Sitcom
The resurected television program picks up right where the show had left off in 1998, and very little modernization has been applied to the television show; which puts myself on cloud nine. It is so nice to watch normal television in this day in age. I even find it pleasant to listen to the 1980’s and 1990’s scores that were originally composed for this television show.
Murphy Brown has been as fiscally and historically important to CBS as the television program “Murder, She Wrote” starring Angela Lansbury, CBS Sports coverage of NASCAR, the PGA Tour; the NFL NFC rights prior to losing them to the upstart FOX Television Network during an upset that had ocurred in 1993; the NBA rights prior to losing them to NBC in 1989 (with CBS airing their final NBA game in 1990), the NCAA Basketball rights; and the CBS News programs such as both Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather’s tenures of anchoring the CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes; and 48 Hours.
I certainly hope that Murder, She Wrote is resurrected; with Angela Lansbury, now in her 90’s as of the time of writing this post, reprising her role as retired High School English Teacher turned professional book author (like yours truly, who is the owner of this very blog) Jessica Fletcher.
