Report On CBS Sunday Morning About Sordid Basketball Guys In The Bronx That Are A Part Of Some Sort Of Makeshift Team As A Way To Get Off The Streets

A report on CBS Sunday Morning from 1987 by Charles Osgood (who at the time, was a correspondent and was not yet the host; as Charles Kuralt was still the host at this time) about sordid Basketball guys in the Bronx (now a part of New York City, what was formerly a wholly separate city) that are a part of some sort of makeshift Basketball team as a way to get off the streets.

Not only do I not like these kids destroying old cars, I also don’t like them stealing wheel covers and radio head units from cars that are parked on the street.

These kids obviously don’t comprehend that the automotive world as a whole, the world of amateur/ham radio; and the engineering side of commercial radio and television are all more important than the world of sports and fitness.

The only positive thing about this report on CBS Sunday Morning from 1987 is that is from a better time in CBS’s history-including when Neal Pilson was the President of CBS Sports; and when Bill Leonard, then Van Gordon Sauter twice (once from 1982-1983 and again during the year 1986), Ed Joyce; and finally, Howard Stringer had served as the President of CBS’s News Department.
