A 1958 International Harvester/Navistar Medium-Duty Truck with a stake body installed on the chassis & cab and powered by the RD501 Inline-6 Gasoline engine in beautiful, pristine condition.
Thank god that not a speck of patina had ever been left on this truck.
This truck only has 24,000 original miles.
Apparently, this truck was formerly a Fire Truck; and during the restoration of this truck-the Fire Truck Pumper body had been removed and swapped in favor of the stake body that is currently on the chassis & cab.
The RD501 Inline-6 Gasoline engine was a part of International’s “Red Diamond” Inline-6 engine architecture that they had produced from 1941-1974, and had built in sizes ranging from 318 to 501 cubic inches, with 360, 372, 400, 405; and 450 cubic inch variants having been produced in between the 318 and 501 cubic inch variants.
