A Ward/Amtran Conventional on the Ford B-Series chassis & cowl that was produced even after IH/Navistar had purchased Ward/AmTran in 1990; but not too long before Ford had discontinued the B-Series chassis & cowl in 1998.
A Ward/Amtran Conventional on the Ford B-Series chassis & cowl produced after 1990 was rare, as IH/Navistar was hesitant to exclusively use their own chassis & cowl for the School Bus body manufacturer that they had purchased.
This Ford B-Series chassis & cowl has the Cummins B-platform diesel engine. I would rather it had the Brazilian-built New Holland 6.6 or 7.8 liter diesel engines, or the Caterpillar 3208 diesel engine.
