3rd generation Ford Focus Estate/Station Wagon in the town of Hesseng, Norway.
Since the advent of the One Ford Plan, the Ford Motor Company has reunited the North American Focus with the European market Focus for the first time since the 1st generation was produced; and after there were two entirely different Escorts for the North American and European markets from 1982-2000.
To my advantage, because of the Focus that is manufactured and sold in the United States as part of the One Ford Plan; Americans are forced to tolerate the European character and nature of the current generation Focus, whether they like it or not; and they no longer have a crummy washing machine vis a vis the North American Escort that was produced from 1981-2000, each and every vehicle on the K-Car platform that Chrysler has ever produced, Neon/PT Cruiser, every vehicle on the J, L; and N platforms that General Motors has ever produced, and the Chevrolet Cobalt that had succeeded the Cavalier.
Since the Focus was introduced in 1998, it had surpassed the Volkswagen Golf as the #1 selling car in the world, knocking the Golf to the #2 spot.
