A Thomas Front Engine Safe-T-Liner, which; as I write in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”; is built on the GM S-7 chassis, GM continues building School Bus chassis; and Thomas never builds their own chassis for the Front Engine Safe-T-Liner.
Up until Thomas had begun to build their own chassis for the Rear Engine Safe-T-Liner in the late-1970’s, they had utilized the GM RS Rear-Engine stripped chassis since the beginning of the 1960’s. The GM RS chassis had utilized the GMC V6 and V8 gasoline engines and the ToroFlow diesel engine-which was the GMC V6 gasoline engine converted to a diesel.
