A Ward/AmTran/IC Front Engine Transit style School Bus like what John Roeck had purchased on behalf of the Warren Consolidated Schools school district in Warren, Michigan from 1995-2001.
In “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”, John Roeck buys Front Engine Blue Bird All-Americans from 1992 onwards.
In 1989, John Roeck also buys early model Blue Bird TC/2000s instead of the Ward Front Engine Transit style School Buses on the GM S-7 stripped transit chassis in “Early Life And Continuous Livelihood”.
John did later regret buying those Ward transits on the GM S-7.
For being a transit style School Bus chassis, the GM S-7 did not have a tight turning radius, and with regards to the Ward body; the engine cover was so high that it was almost impossible to be able to crawl over it to get to the driver’s compartment, and many drivers did injure themselves while doing it-resulting in a lot of downtime for any driver who had driven these buses; and the Ward body had also suffered major structural issues.
