Also, if I were in charge at General Motors, for as much as the current generation K2XX GM Full-Size trucks are an acceptable successor to the 1973-1991 and GMT400 generations of GM Full-Size truck (more acceptable than the GMT800 and GMT900 generations, so to speak); I still would do more to make future generations of GM Full-Size truck to look like and be similar in design to the 1973-1991 and GMT400 generations of GM Full-Size truck.
I would reintroduce the 2-door Tahoe, reintroduce the 3-quarter-ton, diesel configuration; and I would restrict the 4-door Tahoe/Yukon to markets like Europe and Oceania under the Opel, Vauxhall, and Holden brands.
The Suburban would also feature the clamshell tailgate that vacates into the roof once open similar to the B and C platform wagons of the 1970’s. The K5 Blazer would feature the ASC Cosmos fabric Sunroof as shown on a modified Hummer H3 during the 2007 North American International Auto Show. Leather seating would no longer be available on the Chevrolet & GMC Full-Size trucks and SUVs; with the equivalent to a Silverado that’s an LS and a Sierra that’s an SLE being as fancy as the Full-Size trucks and SUVs got from this point on; with luxuries like a GPS system, power seats; and heated cloth seating surfaces being offered. A front bench seat would be standard on the pickups and the Suburban while front bucket seats would be standard on the K5 Blazer-remaining true to the tradition of the Blazer only having available with front bucket seats. the SUVs (including the K5 Blazer) being based on the 2500HD pickup truck, being built on the HD frame; being available with the gasoline engines available in the HD trucks as well as the 6.6 liter Duramax/Isuzu Turbo Diesel and the Allison 1000 transmission; and the SUVs strictly being available as a 2500HD and a half-ton model would never be offered even the European and Oceanic market and Opel, Vauxhall, and Holden branded 4-door Tahoe/Yukon would be strictly based on the 2500HD pickup truck and would only be available with 6.6 liter Duramax/Isuzu Turbo Diesel, the Allison 1000 transmission or the Hydramatic 6L90-E from the current Duramax powered G-Van in these markets (these markets would have a choice between the GM Hydramatic or Allison transmission with the Isuzu/Duramax Turbo Diesel being the sole engine offered in these markets).
