This post is about my admiration for the PBS television program To The Contrary and it’s host Bonnie Erbe.

Bonnie Erbe is exactly the same age as my mother, and she’s a smart and shrewd person. She is of French-Jewish descent. Bonnie Erbe always has been the perfect fit for the position as host and moderator of To The Contrary.

For it’s first 6 seasons upon it’s debut in 1992, To The Contrary was produced alongside MotorWeek and Wall Street Week by Maryland Public Television. Bonnie Erbe did work with John Davis and Louis Rukeyser during the time To The Contrary was a product of Maryland Public Television.

After 6 seasons, production of To The Contrary was moved from Baltimore to Washington D.C because it was decided that it would be better if the show were produced in Washington D.C than in Maryland. From that point forward, the television program also began to be produced by Bonnie Erbe’s own production company that she had founded, Persephone Productions.
